Abstract: A method for zone-based control of devices within a building management system (BMS) includes receiving a request to control a zone in a building. The method includes identifying a plurality of available zones in the building. The method includes receiving a selection to control a first zone from the plurality of available zones. In response to the selection, the method includes generating a password to restrict control of at least one device in the first zone. The method includes transmitting the password to the user device. The method includes receiving, via the input interface of the zone device different from the user device, the password. The method includes authorizing, responsive to receipt of the password via the input interface of the zone device, control of the at least one device in the first zone.

Abstract: A system includes one or more memory devices having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations including receiving building information model (BIM) data associated with a building comprising one or more building assets, identifying one or more BIM objects within the BIM, identifying one or more object relationships between the one or more BIM object, applying a semantic description to each of the one or more BIM objects and the one or more object relationships, and generating a hierarchy structure for the building based on the one of more BIM objects and the one or more object relationships. The one or more BIM objects are associated with the one or more building assets and the hierarchy structure includes the semantic description of each of the one or more BIM objects and the one or more object relationships.

Abstract: A building automation system (BAS) includes building equipment located within a building and a BAS network configured to facilitate communications between the building equipment. The building equipment operate to affect a variable state or condition within the building. The BAS includes a BAS-BIM integrator configured to receive BAS points from the BAS network and to integrate the BAS points with a building information model (BIM). The BIM includes a plurality of BIM objects representing the building equipment. The BAS includes an integrated BAS-BIM viewer configured to use the BIM with the integrated BAS points to generate a user interface. The user interface includes a graphical representation of the BIM objects and the BAS points integrated therewith.
