    摘要: An apparatus for machining a non-circular workpiece, wherein the profile data of plural sections of the workpiece stored in the profile data storage means are transformed into the frequency functions of 1 to n degree which is a function of the rotary angular velocity of the workpiece. The calculation means finds the amplitudes and the phases of each degree of the frequency function of each of plural intermediate sections by means of the interpolation according to the position between selected two sections based on the frequency functions of the selected two sections so as to obtain high frequency functions and low frequency functions which are then converted to high frequency and low frequency profile data. The machining apparatus actuates a linear motor in accordance with the high frequency profile data and actuates a PZT actuator in accordance with the low frequency profile data. The actuations of these actuators are accomplished in a synchronized relationship with the rotation of the workpiece to machine the workpiece into a non-circular shape whose sectional shape changes with respect to its axial position.

    摘要: A feed mechanism is constructed with a piezoelectric actuator embedded in the front end of a square sliding shaft, which is supported by hydrostatic guide surfaces formed on a guide base for sliding motion in the axial direction. A cooling jacket having a helical channel on its outside surface is provided at the periphery of the piezoelectric actuator. A part of pressurized fluid fed to the hydrostatic guide surfaces is led to the helical channel of the cooling jacket through a cooling oil feeding channel formed in the sliding shaft, and fluid in the helical channel is drained to a low pressure space through an oil discharging channel formed in the sliding shaft.

This first hydrostatic pressure pocket is provided with an oil supplying nozzle for supplying pressurized oil therethrough. Further, the hydrostatic supporting surface is provided with a pair of second hydrostatic pressure pockets each formed at opposite lateral ends of the hydrostatic supporting surface and extending in the sliding direction, and a pair of connecting grooves formed between the first and second hydrostatic pressure pockets for introducing the oil to the second hydrostatic pressure pockets.

    摘要: A fluid bearing for rotatably supporting a rotary shaft. A plurality of pressure generating zones are defined on a bearing surface of a bearing member in a circumferential direction. Each of the pressure generating zones comprises a pair of axially spaced fluid pockets, at least one raised land formed in at least one of the pair of fluid pockets, a passage member for fluidically communicating the pair of fluid pockets with each other, a throttle member connected to the fluid pockets for admitting pressurized fluid therein and an exhaust port formed on the raised land for discharging pressurized fluid. An exhaust member is formed on the bearing surface outside the pressure generating zones for discharging pressurized fluid.
