摘要： A water-absorbent structure comprises an assembly of thermoplastic synthetic fibers, cellulose-based fibers, super-absorbent polymer and water-pervious sheets wrapping these components together. The assembly is a honeycomb construction having a plurality of through-holes and normally in a compressed state. Upon water permeation into the water-absorbent structure, the super-absorbent polymer is swollen and softened and the assembly is swollen so that the through-holes restore the initial state before the assembly has been compressed.

摘要： A disposable diaper is improved so that a free portion of each tape fastener is reliably prevented from being disengaged from a target tape even an outer surface of the tape fastener and an inner surface of an underwear rub together during use of the diaper. A pair of tape fasteners 6 used to connect front and rear waist regions 8, 10 to each other are attached to side flaps 14 in a rear waist region 10 of a diaper 1A, respectively. In the diaper 1A, each of the tape fasteners 6 including first fibrous nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber and thermoplastic synthetic resin coated on a substantially whole area of an outer surface of the first fibrous nonwoven fabric wherein the thermoplastic synthetic resin forms a substantially smooth first synthetic resin layer on outer surfaces of the respective tape fasteners.

The first plastic film layer includes a plurality of first plane regions spaced one from another and extending parallel one to another in one direction and sawtooth-shaped first rising regions formed along edges of the first plane regions and the second plastic film layer includes a plurality of second plane regions. Such composite sheet is breathable but liquid-resistant and suitable for use for disposable garments.
