Abstract: Disclosed are a hot melt tape for hook-and-loop fasteners without sewing which may be adhered at a low temperature and complete hardening of an adhesive resin in a short time and a method for manufacturing a seat padding material for vehicles using the same. The method includes preparing the padding material and a hook-and-loop fabric, preparing a hot melt tape having a hot melt resin layer by coating a surface of a release paper with a reactive hot melt resin having a melting point of 40-80° C. before reacting, adhering the hot melt tape to a surface of the padding material by applying heat of a temperature of 30-70° C. and pressure thereto, removing the release paper, adhering the hook-and-loop fabric to the exposed hot melt resin layer, and hardening the hot melt resin layer by cooling the padding material and the hook-and-loop fabric to a temperature of 0-20° C.

Abstract: An article comprises a tube having peripheral areas, including an upper section, a lower section, an inner section, and an outer section, the tube further comprising a tube wall having an inner layer and an outer layer, the inner layer being a semipermeable membrane that is permeable to vapors but impermeable to liquids and the outer layer being a nonwoven fabric, and the tube further comprising at least one inlet port integrated into the tube wall to permit the flow of an activated or activatable foamable composition into the tube interior, wherein the tube further has a plurality of holes that penetrate through the inner and outer layers of the tube to allow expanding foam to both fill the interior of the tube and exit the tube and fill a space exterior to the tube.

Abstract: A three-dimensional electrospun biomedical patch includes a first polymeric scaffold having a first structure of deposited electrospun fibers extending in a plurality of directions in three dimensions to facilitate cellular migration for a first period of time upon application of the biomedical patch to a tissue, wherein the first period of time is less than twelve months, and a second polymeric scaffold having a second structure of deposited electrospun fibers. The second structure of deposited electrospun fibers includes the plurality of deposited electrospun fibers configured to provide structural reinforcement for a second period of time upon application of the three-dimensional electrospun biomedical patch to the tissue wherein the second period of time is less than twelve months. The three-dimensional electrospun biomedical patch is sufficiently pliable and resistant to tearing to enable movement of the three-dimensional electrospun biomedical patch with the tissue.

Abstract: A thermoplastic artificial leather includes a thermoplastic composite laminate and a textile base. The thermoplastic composite laminate includes a foamed thermoplastic elastic layer, an unfoamed thermoplastic elastic layer and a thermoplastic adhesive layer. The foamed thermoplastic elastic layer has a first surface, a second surface and a plurality of foamed structures. The second surface is opposite to the first surface. The unfoamed thermoplastic elastic layer is disposed on the first surface of the foamed thermoplastic elastic layer. The thermoplastic adhesive layer is disposed on the second surface of the foamed thermoplastic elastic layer. The textile base is laminated on the thermoplastic adhesive layer of the thermoplastic composite laminate.

Abstract: This document presents a novel method of manufacturing multilayered nonwoven fabrics consisting of submicron fibers, hydroentangled, meltfibrillated, and/or spunlaid web layers. The composite multilayered webs contain one or more submicron fiber webs placed between inner and outer layers of hydroentangled, meltfibrillated, and/or spunlaid web, forming a fabric that may be utilized in the manufacture of articles which serve as barriers, wipes or sorbent materials, or may have other potential applications. The created novel composite multilayered fabric may have increased loft, softness and bending length, may not be solely dependent upon an electrostatic charge to repel small particles and microbes, and may be formed from a broad selection of natural, synthetic, and recycled polymers, including petroleum- and plant-based, allowing polymer selection based on article lifecycle.

Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a recyclable, asymmetrical-faced composite nonwoven textile suitable for use in apparel and other articles and methods of making the same. In example aspects, the asymmetrical-faced composite nonwoven textile includes a first face formed, at least in part from a first entangled web of fibers and an opposite second face formed, at least in part from a second entangled web of fibers. When incorporated into an article of apparel, the first face forms an outer-facing surface of the article of apparel, and the second face forms an inner-facing surface of the article of apparel. The first face includes features making it suitable to form the outer-facing surface such as resistance to abrasion, and the second face includes features making it suitable to form an inner-facing surface such as a soft hand.
