摘要: An Enhanced Sanitary Pad has various optional devices associated therewith in order to ameliorate painful conditions and also signal the amount of liquids absorbed therein. In this regard, cooling crystals are embedded within an absorbent layer attached to a plastic backing material. Another option has a cooling strip associated with the pad at either end thereof, on the longitudinal sides of the pad, at a side of an optional raised protrusion located on the pad or on the raised protrusion itself. This protrusion is also formed of tightly wound absorbent material and is either stitched or supported with adhesive interlay to maintain its shape; it is optionally removable from the pad and associated therewith using corresponding velcro interlocks.

摘要: An absorbent article includes a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and an absorbent body between the top and back sheets. The top sheet has first and second areas, each of which includes a blood lubricity-imparting agent that has a kinematic viscosity of 0.01-80 mm2/s at 40 C, a water hold percentage of 0.01-4.0 mass %, and a weight average molecular weight of less than 1,000. The first area overlaps at least partially with an excretory orifice contact area of the top sheet that is configured to contact with the excretory orifice of the wearer. The second area is arranged more to a rear side in a lengthwise direction of the absorbent article than is the first area. A basis weight of the blood lubricity-imparting agent in the first area is higher than that of the blood lubricity-imparting agent in the second area.

摘要: An absorbent article that contains a topsheet having embossed regions is provided. The embossed regions propagate in a longitudinal direction of the article in the form of a wave having one or more alternating crests (peaks) and troughs (valleys). Such a wave pattern helps slow down the flow of bodily fluid by directing it along a tortuous path defined by the densified edges rather than in a straight line. Among other things, this reduction in flow rate can help provide sufficient time for the absorbent core to absorb the fluid, which is particularly helpful when it is already partially filled with fluid. Nevertheless, bodily fluids can still sometimes pool near the crests and/or troughs and result in leakage. To help counteract this tendency, the present inventors have discovered that a plurality of apertures can be employed in the topsheet that are arranged in a column that generally extends in a longitudinal direction of the article. At least a portion of the apertures are located proximate to contiguous crests and/or contiguous troughs of the embossed region. Without intending to be limited by theory, it is believed that the registration of the apertures with contiguous crests and/or contiguous troughs of the embossed region puts them in a better position to receive bodily fluids that tend to pool around the embossed regions and thus reduce the likelihood of leakage.

摘要: The device is provided to reduce trauma caused by childbirth or other traumas and absorb such fluids which would be expelled after such a trauma. In particular the device is said to reduce the trauma of the wound in the perineal region or other regions, and absorb blood and other discharges after such a trauma. The device is comprised of a cotton maternity sanitary napkin which is an absorbent housing for the instant cooling ice pack which is cooled prior to application to the perineal region. To activate the ice pack one must squeeze it and wait to hear a pop sound which allows the chemical to mix creating the cooling sensation. The said device contains an adhesive strip which can be activated by pulling off the plastic tape cover. The adhesive strip then can be placed in the woman's underwear to ensure a secure placement of the device.

摘要: An absorbent article includes at least one liquid-permeable layer material (105) and an absorbent structure (106), the absorbent structure (106) having the ability to expand on wetting, which entails that the absorbent structure (106) displays a first volume in dry condition and a second volume in completely expanded wet condition, the second volume being greater than the first volume. The liquid-permeable layer material (105) encloses the absorbent structure (106) so that the absorbent structure (106) is prevented from reaching complete expansion during wetting.

摘要: An absorbent article comprises a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and an absorber mounted between the top sheet and the back sheet. A coating region to which an adhesive is applied is formed in a flat surface direction, on a surface of the back sheet which faces clothing. An endothermic material is provided inside the absorber. A region which, with respect to the thickness direction of the absorbent article, does not face an arrangement region in which the heat endothermic material is provided is formed in at least a part of the coating region to which the adhesive is applied.

摘要: An absorbent article (1), such as an incontinence protector, sanitary napkin or the like, includes a liquid permeable top sheet (3), a backing sheet (4) and an absorbent core (5,6,7) enclosed therebetween. The absorbent core includes an upper absorbent layer (5) proximal to the top sheet and a lower absorbent layer (6) distal to the top sheet. An elongated hole (8) extending in the longitudinal direction of the article is made in the absorbent core. First and second elastic elements (9,10) attached to opposite lateral edges of the absorbent core (5,6,7) extend along the hole in a longitudinal direction and the top sheet (3) is affixed to the elastic elements and to the bottom of the hole (8).

摘要: A feminine hygiene device. The absorbent core can have a first compressibility in an unaltered state, wherein at least a portion of the absorbent core that is generally aligned with the longitudinal axis of the absorbent core has a second compressibility in an altered state. The second compressibility can be greater than the first compressibility. The portion of the absorbent core having the second compressibility can be a portion of the absorbent core from which absorbent material has not been completely removed. The feminine hygiene device has an elastic member generally aligned with the core longitudinal axis and spanning at least a portion of the absorbent core that has a preferentially weakened zone of compression. A portion of the absorbent core that is generally aligned with the core longitudinal axis can comprise structural features selected from the group consisting of slits, corrugations, nodules, and tufts.
