    摘要: An excitation coil is arranged so as to be opposed to a rotatable heat generating roller of a conductive material, and on a rear side of the excitation coil, a core of a magnetic material is provided. The core is composed of a central core that is formed continuously in a rotation axis direction of the heat generating roller, and a plurality of U-shaped cores arranged at a distance from each other in that direction. A high-frequency current is applied to the excitation coil so that the heat generating roller 1 generates heat by electromagnetic induction. An additional coil is wound around the U-shaped core. Both ends of the additional coil are connected to a switching unit. When the switching unit is brought to a connected state, under an induction current generated in the additional coil, a magnetic flux in a direction in which a magnetic flux of the excitation coil is cancelled out is generated, so that heat generation of the heat generating roller can be suppressed. The switching unit is switched over according to a width of a paper sheet to be passed and a temperature distribution in the rotation axis direction. Thus, a uniform temperature distribution of the heat generating roller in the rotation axis direction can be maintained.

    摘要: A developing method for developing an image on an electrophotographic film by means of a processing head which has a developing section to which the film is pressed for the development under the supply of a developer. After completion of supply of the developer to the developing section, weak and strong blasts of air are successively applied and, when the film is moved apart from the developing section, a final strong blast of air is applied, so that surplus residual liquid developer is removed from the developing section without being dried and solidified in the developing section.

    摘要: The invention relates to bismaleimides comprising mesogenic groups which consist, corresponding to (I), of two reactive terminal maleimide groups which are linked via linear or singly alkyl-substituted alkylene chains A, which are linked to an aromatic mesogen M via ester, amide or ether groups, wherein A, X, M and R are as defined in the specification. The invention, moreover, relates to oligomeric liquid crystalline bismaleimides of general formula (II) wherein A, X, M and R are as defined above, n represents and integer from 1 to 100 and B represents piperazinyl or a divalent radical which is derived from a primary or secondary para-substituted cyclic diamine, wherein B is bonded via the amino groups of the diamine. The invention also relates to methods of producing said bismaleimides.
