    摘要: In an image processing device for recording images with Y, M, and C color ink, a received Bk image is recorded with a color more similar to an original black color and solves a problem caused by too much amount of ejected ink such as bleeding with other colors or feathering. An image data consisting of four color elements of YMCBk is entered from a host computer, a Bk conversion unit converts the Bk element to respective Y, M, and C elements by masking of respective Y, M, and C elements generated randomly for the entered Bk element image data, and an image synthesizing unit synthesizes the converted YMC elements with the entered YMC elements. Then, an image recording unit for forming an image with three colors of YMC forms an image based on the synthesized YMC elements and records the image on a recording medium with ejecting YMC ink from a recording head.

    摘要: An ink jet apparatus includes an ink jet head having a plurality of ejecting ports arranged in a predetermined pattern and a plurality of heat generating elements arranged corresponding to the ejecting ports, and a driving controlling means for applying a driving signal to heat generating elements 1e in response to a driving information wherein a printing mode of printing a printing medium by ejecting ink from the ejecting ports and a preliminary ejecting mode of performing no ejection toward the printing medium are settled for the apparatus. The driving controlling means includes a defoaming position changing means for changing the position of a defoaming point P.sub.B arising on each heat generating element 1e when ink is ejected in conformity with the preliminary ejecting mode. With this construction, a density fluctuation in character, image or the like can be eliminated, and moreover, a quantity of consumption of ink usable for preliminary ejection can be reduced compared with a conventional ink jet apparatus. In addition, an ink preliminary ejecting method to be practiced by the ink jet apparatus is also provided.

    摘要: Disclosed are an inkjet printing method and an inkjet printer capable of printing high-quality images by the inkjet printing method even when ink is exchanged for ink having a different density, particularly ink having a lower density. A printer using this method identifies the type of an ink tank attached to a printhead. When the printer detects in accordance with the type of an ink tank that an ink tank is changed to another ink tank containing ink with a different density, recovery conditions for the printhead are changed in accordance with the type of the ink. Especially when an ink tank is exchanged for another ink tank containing ink with a lower density, the printer increases the number of times of suction for the printhead after the ink tank exchange and the number of times of preliminary discharge after wiping. The printer also shortens preliminary discharge intervals and increases the number of preliminary discharge times at the time of printing.

    摘要: It is checked whether an ink used in a printhead has a high density. The type of a printing medium used for a print operation is also identified. An image is printed by scanning the printhead once or a plurality of times. When a print operation is to be performed by using a thick ink, an image is printed by using mask data and the driving frequency of the head which are set for the thick ink. When a print operation is to be performed by using a thin ink, an image is printed by using mask data and the driving frequency of the head which are set for the thin ink and the type of printing medium used for the print operation. Codes of the respective color data of print data are determined in accordance with the types of inks used for a print operation, and an image is printed by printing a plurality of dots or dots in an overlapping state by the multi-pass method.
