摘要： The present disclosure provides toners and processes for making said toners. In embodiments, the toners include a fluorescent additive having a fluorescent agent. Toners are colorless when viewed under natural light but when exposed to UV light of a specific wavelength the toners are rendered bright green due to the presence of the fluorescent agent.

摘要： Disclosed herein are curable solid inks which are solid at room temperature and molten at an elevated temperature at which the molten ink is applied to a substrate. In particular, the curable solid inks of the present embodiments comprise low molecular weight amide gellants that impart self-leveling capabilities to the inks. Also disclosed herein are methods for making the amide gellant and the inks comprising the amide gellants.

摘要： The present disclosure provides toners and processes for making said toners. In embodiments, the toners are invisible when viewed under natural light, but possess a UV additive that renders them visible when exposed to UV light of a specific wavelength. By selecting the appropriate UV additive and ionic crosslinker, with optional chelating agent, the gloss of the toner may be tailored to match the gloss of any substrate, such as paper, to which the toner is to be applied, thereby further enhancing its invisibility under visible light.

摘要： A fluorescent particle includes a fluorescent pigment, such as a trans-dicarboxylic-indenofluorenone, and at least one stabilizing wax chemically attached to the fluorescent pigment. The stabilizing wax includes an amine group at its terminal end and the fluorescent pigment includes at least one carboxylic acid group, where the amine group reacts with the carboxylic acid group to form an amide bond. A method for making fluorescent particles for use in toners by chemically attaching at least one stabilizing wax to a fluorescent pigment where the at least one stabilizing wax includes an amine group at its terminal end and the fluorescent pigment includes at least one carboxylic acid group. A toner may include a resin and the fluorescent particle.

In embodiments, a toner particle of the present disclosure includes a cation binding material possessing cation binding groups. Processes for producing toners with these cation binding materials are also provided. The resulting toners exhibit excellent stability with respect to relative humidity and excellent charging characteristics.

In embodiments, methods of the present disclosure may be utilized to produce toners suitable for low melt applications, including use in flexible packaging applications, where low pile height is desired for low cost and flexibility. In embodiments, the EA toners may be prepared by optimizing the particle size of the emulsion, the choice of and amount of aggregating agent utilized, and the solids content of the emulsion.
