Abstract: Provided is a method for producing a latex comprising hollow resin particles each with a high void ratio and a method for producing hollow resin particles each with a higher void ratio. In the method for producing the latex: a suspension treatment of the mixture liquid which comprises a monomer, a crosslinkable monomer, an oil-soluble polymerization initiator, a fat/fatty oil, a hydrocarbon solvent, a suspension stabilizer and an aqueous medium is carried out to prepare a suspension comprising monomer drops; a polymerization reaction of the suspension is carried out to prepare a precursor composition which comprises precursor particles each having a hollow portion including the hydrocarbon solvent.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to antistatic elastomeric articles and methods of making the same. The articles can be single layered or multilayered. The single layered articles possess desirable antistatic properties and desirable properties of comfort and feel. The multilayered articles have an outermost layer/surface that possesses desirable antistatic properties and an innermost layer/surface that exhibits desirable properties of comfort and feel. In preferred embodiments, the elastomeric articles are made form a nitrile/natural rubber blend. Articles of the present invention have antistatic properties measured as having a surface resistivity below about 1014 Ω/sq and a static decay time of less than about 60 seconds.

Abstract: A method for producing a thermoplastic moulding compound by means of an extruder (10), which comprises at least one feed zone (20), at least one mixing section (30), at least one venting section (40) and at least one discharge zone (50), wherein in the at least one feed zone (20) a water-containing first component and a second component are supplied, in the at least one mixing section (30) the thermoplastic moulding compound is mixed and contained water is evaporated, in the at least one venting section (40) water vapour is removed from the moulding compound and in the at least one discharge zone (50) the moulding compound is discharged. At least one of the mixing housings (31, 32) is kept at a temperature that is equal to or lower than the temperature of the moulding compound within the mixing section (30).

These methods include mixing in a multi-elements static mixer and an intermeshing mixer with venting, among others.
