Abstract:
An IP telephone system includes a source IP telephone apparatus, a destination telephone apparatus, a Web server and an ENUM server. The IP telephone apparatuses are connected to an IP network. The Web server stores call reception screen information corresponding to a telephone number assigned to the source or destination IP telephone apparatus. The ENUM server stores a NAPTR resource record in which a URI specifies link information related to the call reception screen information stored on the Web server. In the IP telephone system, the IP telephone apparatus that has received a call transmits, to the ENUM server, a query for a NAPTR record corresponding to an intended recipient's telephone number. The IP telephone apparatus then transmits, to the Web server, a request for the call reception screen information corresponding to the intended recipient's telephone number according to the obtained NAPTR resource record, and displays a call reception screen according to the obtained call reception screen information.
Abstract:
An IFAX IP telephone connects a call to an opposing IFAX IP telephone via the Internet, and executes a voice call process that exchanges voice packets with the connected opposing IFAX IP telephone. When transmitting an image data to the opposing IFAX IP telephone during the voice call to the same telephone, an IFAX packet is generated, the packet having the opposing IFAX IP telephone as the destination. The IFAX packet is transmitted, while prioritizing the voice packet transmission.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus transmits facsimile data converted from e-mail data to a facsimile destination via a public communication network. A receiver receives the e-mail data from a requesting node. A memory stores a password and a domain name of a requesting node. An acquiring section acquires a destination address including at least a telephone number, a password and a domain name, from the requesting node. A converter converts the e-mail data into facsimile data. A comparator compares the password and the domain name acquired by the acquiring section, with the password and the domain name stored in the memory, respectively. A facsimile transmitter transmits the converted facsimile data to the facsimile destination designated by the telephone number when a result of the comparison indicates that the password and the domain name acquired are the same as the password and the domain name stored in said memory. Further, when a result of the comparison indicates that the password and the domain name acquired are not the same as the password and the domain name stored in the memory, the facsimile transmitter does not transmit the facsimile data to the facsimile destination.
Abstract:
IFAX is installed in securities firm A. PC is installed in a customer B and the other IFAX is installed in a branch C. IFAX transmits and receives image data between PC and IFAX via LAN and the Internet by use of e-mail. While, IFAX is connected to PSTN. IFAX transmits and receives facsimile data between G3FAX and IFAX via PSTN. IFAX transmits and receives image data among PC and the other IFAX and G3FAX and transmits the same image data to a host computer installed in a center in reduction in communication costs with respect to the center.
Abstract:
An IP telephone system includes a source IP telephone apparatus, a destination telephone apparatus, a Web server and an ENUM server. The IP telephone apparatuses function as base stations for multi-handset telephone systems and are connected to an IP network. The Web server stores ring tone information corresponding to a telephone number assigned to the source or destination IP telephone apparatus. The ENUM server stores a NAPTR resource record in which a URI specifies link data related to the ring tone information stored in the Web server. In the IP telephone system, the IP telephone apparatus that has received a call transmits, to the ENUM server, a query for a NAPTR record corresponding to an intended recipient's telephone number. The IP telephone apparatus then transmits, to the Web server, a request for the ring tone information corresponding to the intended recipient's telephone number according to the obtained NAPTR resource record, and sounds a ring tone through the apparatus itself and the handsets that are connected to the apparatus according to the obtained ring tone information
Abstract:
An IP telephone system includes an IP telephone apparatus, a Web server and an ENUM server. The IP telephone apparatus is connected to an IP network. The Web server registers talk volume information corresponding to a telephone number assigned to the IP telephone apparatus. The ENUM server registers a NAPTR resource record in which a URI specifies link data related to the talk volume information registered in the Web server. In the IP telephone system, the IP telephone apparatus that has received a call transmits, to the ENUM server, a query for a NAPTR record corresponding to a targeted recipient phone number. The IP telephone apparatus then transmits, to the Web server, a request for the talk volume information corresponding to the targeted recipient phone number according to the returned NAPTR resource record, and adjusts the talk volume according to the returned talk volume information.
Abstract:
An electronic-mail apparatus, comprises an electronic-mail receiver that receives an electronic-mail via a network, a converter that converts the electronic-mail into printable image data, and a facsimile receiver that negotiates with a facsimile sender. The facsimile receiver receives facsimile image data from the facsimile sender via a telephone network. A printer is configured to print the converted image data and the received facsimile image data. The electronic-mail receiver, the converter, the facsimile receiver and the printer are integrated in the electronic-mail apparatus.

Abstract:
This Internet facsimile apparatus comprises a panel with a plurality of buttons, memory to store a default domain name, panel input control section that if a user name is input from said panel, adds said default domain name to said user name to create a mail address and mail transmission processing section that transmits e-mail directed to said mail address.
Abstract:
An electronic mail system connected to a network includes a section for converting an image of a document surface into corresponding document image data, and a section for compressing the document image data into compression-resultant image data. The electronic mail system also includes a section for converting the compression-resultant image data into corresponding image data of a given electronic-mail format, a section for receiving information of an electronic-mail destination address, and a section for transmitting the image data of the electronic-mail format toward the electronic-mail destination address via the network. The electronic mail system may further include a section for receiving image data in an electronic mail, a section for converting the received image data into corresponding received image data of a given facsimile format, a section for expanding the received image data of the facsimile format into expansion-resultant image data, and a section for printing the expansion-resultant image data.
