According to the method, when an amorphous silicon thin film is crystallized into a polycrystalline silicon thin film by metal-induced crystallization, annealing conditions of the amorphous silicon thin film and the amount of a metal catalyst doped into the amorphous silicon thin film are optimized to reduce the regions of a metal silicide distributed at grain boundaries of the polycrystalline silicon thin film. In addition, oxygen (O2) gas or water (H2O) vapor is supplied to form a passivation film on the surface of the polycrystalline silicon thin film.

This invention relates to a method and apparatus for on-line measurement of permeation characteristics (transmitting chemicals) through dense nonporous membrane. This invention is intended to facilitate various research activities, such as simultaneous analyses of diffusion coefficient, solubility coefficient, permeation rate and permeant composition, and presentation of new analysis about the permeation behavior, kinetics and so on. The object of this invention is to provide the method and apparatus for measurement of permeation characteristics of permeants in liquid, vapor or gas phase through dense nonporous membrane and more practicuraly, to provide permeation apparatus for measurement of permeation characteristics by analyzing permeation rate and permeation concentration of permeants through an on-line type dense porous membrane with time, not only for a steady state but also for an unsteady state in an accurate and reliable manner.

More particularly, this invention relates to said membrane having anionic polymers, as substrate, which is immersed into a cationic polymer solution containing a multivalent ion cross-linking agent, by which a cross-linkage within the internal of the separation membrane is achieved, thereby forming an ion complex between ionic polymers of opposite ion at the surface of the separation membrane to yield a stable separation membrane of a double structure.

The present invention relates to a process for removing acetylenes from olefins by using an ionic liquid-based solution, and particularly to a process for removing a small amount of acetylenes contained in olefins by using an ionic liquid-based solution where copper halide (CuX, X=halogen atom) is dissolved. In an ionic liquid-based solution used in the present invention, copper halide (CuX) is stabilized by ionic liquid, thus preventing monovalent copper ion (Cu+) from being oxidized into divalent copper ion (Cu2+), maintaining the superior activity of monovalent copper ion (Cu+) in removing acetylene for a long period of time, and remarkably increasing the selective removal of acetylene-based compounds. Moreover, an ionic liquid-based solution used in the present invention may serve as an extracting solution as well as an absorbent, thereby facilitating the operation and reducing equipment cost in comparison to the conventional extracting agent used in a slurry phase.

The present invention relates to a flaky α-alumina crystal and a preparation method thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to a flaky α-alumina crystal comprising aluminum oxide and zinc oxide, which is prepared by hydrolyzing an aluminum precursor solution containing a water-soluble flux and a zinc precursor solution to obtain a gel mixture and aging, drying, calcining and crystallizing it under a specific reaction condition, and a preparation method thereof. Since the flaky α-alumina crystal of the present invention has a thickness of less than 0.5 μm, an average particle diameter of at least 15 μm and an aspect ratio of at least 50, it is useful as high-quality pearlescent pigment material and filler for ceramic materials.
