摘要: A process for producing alpha-olefins comprising: a) contacting an ethylene feed with an oligomerization catalyst system in an oligomerization reaction zone under oligomerization reaction conditions to produce a product stream comprising alpha-olefins; and b) cooling at least a portion of the reaction zone using a heat exchange medium having an inlet temperature and an outlet temperature wherein the catalyst system comprises a metal-ligand complex and a co-catalyst; the oligomerization reaction conditions comprise a reaction temperature of greater than 70° C.; and the difference between the reaction zone temperature and the inlet temperature of the heat exchange medium is from 0.5 to 15° C.

摘要: A method of precipitating polymer and deactivated organometallic catalyst in an olefin oligomerization reaction is provided. The method includes providing an effluent stream from an olefin oligomerization reaction. The effluent stream can include a polymer and an organometallic catalyst. The method can further include introducing sorbent particles into the effluent stream. The sorbent particles can include a deactivating agent. The deactivating agent can be water, an alcohol, an amine, an amino alcohol, or a combination thereof. At least about 10% of the sorbent particles can have a particle size in a range from 10 μm and 60 μm. The method can further include cooling the effluent stream, thereby precipitating polymer and deactivated organometallic catalyst from the effluent stream to provide a precipitate that includes sorbent, polymer, and deactivated catalyst.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for the oligomerization of ethylene, and more specifically, to a method for the preparation of mainly ethylene oligomers of C10 or higher, which comprises obtaining mainly ethylene oligomers of C4 or higher by performing a first oligomerization of an ethylene gas using a Ni-containing mesoporous catalyst, followed by a second oligomerization using an ion exchange resin, etc. The method for the preparation of ethylene oligomers according to the present invention can produce C8-16 ethylene oligomers in high yield without inducing inactivation of a catalyst, compared to the conventional technology of ethylene oligomerization by a one-step process.

摘要: This invention relates to a self cleaning reactor and to a process for the oligomerization of ethylene that employs a self-cleaning reactor. The reactor includes a mass of inert, particulate cleaning bodies that are entrained by the liquid in the reactor and scour the internal surfaces of the reactor during normal operation. This scouring action reduces the level of fouling on the reactor surfaces. Foulant material (polyethylene) is removed from the process on a continuous basis but the cleaning bodies remain within the reactor.
