The subset is smaller than the set of the focal parameters and corresponds to a restricted zone within the range of working distances to enhance data capture performance of the terminal.

    摘要: A closed automatic fluid mixing apparatus and method for mixing two fluids while maintaining a feed pressure of the mixed fluid at a predetermined level are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a first fluid feed, a second fluid feed, a mixing valve, and a closed control system. The mixing valve is capable of mixing a first fluid received from the first fluid feed and a second fluid received from the second fluid feed to produce a mixed fluid. The closed control system is capable of controlling the mixing valve to determine the ratio of the first and second fluids in the mixed fluid while maintaining the pressure of the mixed fluid at a predetermined level. The method comprises feeding a first fluid and a second fluid to a mixing valve; mixing the first and second fluids therein; and controlling the mixing valve's actuation of to determine the ratio of the first and second fluids in a resultant mixed fluid while maintaining the pressure of the mixed fluid at a predetermined level.

The system and method are particularly suitable for incorporation within an optical code reader. A signal processor analyzes data signals representative of the intensity or magnitude of wavelength components of an impinged image onto the image sensor for determining a value indicative of the focus quality of the impinged image. An actuator controls movement of a lens in accordance with the determination until obtainment of a desired focus quality. A decoder decodes the image having the desired focus quality.

The transponder may be encased in a protective covering. Also described is a method of cementing a casing utilizing a first component such as a sensor disposed on the casing and a second component such as a detectable device disposed in the cement.

    摘要: A miniature imager for reading target images. The optical and electrical systems of the miniature imager are optimized to reduce one or more dimensions or the volume of the imager. In accordance with one embodiment the pixel pitch and focal length are decreased for that of a larger imager to maintain a comparable field of view for each pixel. The decreased pixel pitch allows the area of the aperture and the instantaneous field of view of the pixel to remain constant while decreasing the overall size of the imager. In other embodiments apparatus and techniques reduce and/or eliminate the need for illumination of a target by the imager thereby reducing the overall power consumed by the imager and/or its overall size. The imager has an increased working range.

    摘要: An optical code reading system includes an imaging engine having an illuminating assembly for illuminating a potential target area; an imaging assembly including an imaging sensor for acquiring a native image of a potential target area; and circuitry for converting the native image of a potential target area to a data signal and outputting the data signal. The data signal includes potential target area data indicative of low and high resolution representations of the native image; and at least one processor that includes means for receiving the data signal and separating the potential target area data included within the data signal into at least first and second groups of pixels indicative of the low and high resolution representations. The processor may also receive intermediate resolution representations. A corresponding imaging engine and processors capable of implementing the method of separating the high, low and intermediate resolution representations are also disclosed.

    摘要: An imager in an imaging reader captures light from a target, generates image data from the captured light, and generates a pixel clock signal having a pixel clock frequency in synchronism with the image data. A controller is connected via an electrical conductor to the imager, and controls the imager to transfer the image data, receives the image data, and processes the image data. A circuit suppresses electromagnetic radiation generated by the conductor during the image data transfer, and includes a spread spectrum modulator for modulating the pixel clock signal to generate a variable spread spectrum signal having a spread spectrum frequency that periodically varies above and below the pixel clock frequency, and a buffer having a plurality of registers for receiving and temporarily storing the image data, and for varying as a function of the spread spectrum frequency how much of the image data is being temporarily stored.
