摘要: An optical module has a support board, an optical transmission path, and at least a single optical element having a light receiving function or a light emitting function provided on the support board. A light emission surface of the optical transmission path or a light incidence surface of the optical transmission path is arranged such that the optical element and the optical transmission path are optically coupled to each other, with respect to a light receiving surface or a light emitting surface of the optical element. The optical element is sealed by a sealing agent. A gap is provided between the optical transmission path and the surface of the sealing agent on the light receiving surface or the light emitting surface of the optical element.

摘要: A transmission unit sequentially outputs a plurality of data signals in a predetermined transmission period during which a one-frame image is transmitted, the predetermined transmission period being defined by a product of a number of the given units and a transmission period of a given unit. Meanwhile, the transmission unit outputs a control signal in the period among the predetermined transmission period that is equivalent to a sum of the transmission time of the given units which does not include the data signals. This period corresponds to the sleep mode period of the transmission unit. The sleep mode period is set such that a ratio of the sleep mode period to the predetermined transmission period is larger than a ratio of a sum of a transmission period of the control signal and a margin period for transmission of the control signal to the predetermined transmission period.

摘要: A data transmission system is provided with a transmission unit, a receiving unit, transmission paths, and a delay unit. The delay unit is disposed on a transmission path along which a high-speed signal is transmitted, and delays the transmission of the high-speed signal with respect to a low-speed signal. When the high-speed signal is transmitted from a section b2 to c along the transmission path, a delay time of Δt occurs with respect to when the high-speed signal is transmitted from a section a to b1 along the transmission path. In other words, the phase of the high-speed signal transmitted from section b2 to c is shifted with respect to the phase of the high-speed signal transmitted from section a to b1. Consequently, a time interval in which an EMI peak value occurs can be reduced, thereby enabling the probability of an EMI peak value occurring to be reduced.

摘要: An optical waveguide has a clad, a core surrounded by the clad and having an index of refraction larger than an index of refraction of the clad, an incident end face that makes light enter the core; and an exiting end face that makes light exit from the core. Two side faces of the optical waveguide are formed so as to have an angle change. The two side faces are translationally symmetric with each other, or two side faces excluding a portion of the side faces are translationally symmetric with each other.

摘要: This invention improves the use efficiency of light emitted by a solid light emitter such as a light emitting diode, and realizes a desired directional pattern. On a front boundary surface of a mold resin 13 sealing a light emitter 12, there are formed a direct emission region 18 for emitting the light from the light emitter 12 and a total reflection region 19 for totally reflecting the light from the light emitter 12. The direct emission region 18 is convex lens-shaped. A light reflecting portion 20 having a concave mirror shape is disposed on a rear wall of the mold resin 13. A part of light emitted from the light emitter 12 is emitted forward by receiving an optical lens action when it passes through the direct emission region 18. Another part of the light emitted by from the light emitter 12 is totally reflected by the total reflection region 19, and is reflected by the light reflecting portion 20, and emitted forward from the total reflection region 19.

摘要: A serializer is equipped with a plurality of input terminals into which a plurality of binary signals are input in parallel, and converts the plurality of input binary signals into serial binary signals and transmits the serial binary signals to an optical transmission module. One input terminal out of the plurality of input terminals is assigned as an input terminal for preventing bit continuation by inserting “1” signals or “0” signals into the serial binary signals so that a predetermined number of bits of the same value may not be inserted continuously. Due to this structure, bit continuation can be prevented even for a signal generating source with no coding function by a simple configuration without increasing cost and size.
