    摘要: A conventional fuel cell comprises a plurality of cell elements stacked via separator plates, each cell element comprising an electrolyte plate, and cathode and an anode which sandwich the electrolyte plate. A power generation part of the fuel cell is defined by the electrolyte plate, cathode and an anode. Oxidizing gas and fuel gas are supplied to each cell element in the same direction but the direction is opposite the gas flow of an adjacent cell element. In the improvement, preheating devices are provided next to the power generation part as a part of the fuel cell in the direction gases flow, in a manner such that both incoming and outgoing gases pass through the preheating device. The preheating device includes a plurality of heat exchange promoting elements in the form of projections provided on both faces of the separator plate.

    摘要: A speech synthesizer that synthesizes speech by actuating a voice source and a filter which processes output of the voice source according to speech parameters in each successive short interval of time according to feature vectors which include formant frequencies, formant bandwidth, speech rate and so on. Each feature vector, or speech parameter is defined by two target points (r.sub.1, r.sub.2), and a value at each target point together with a connection curve between target points. A speech rate is defined by a speech rate curve which defines elongation or shortening of the speech rate, by start point (d.sub.1) of elongation (or shorteninng), end point (d.sub.2), and elongation ratio between d.sub.1 and d.sub.2. The ratios between the relative time of each speech parameter and absolute time are preliminarily calculated according to the speech rate table in each predetermined short interval.

    摘要: A permanent magnet is fixed to a stationary portion. A yoke made of magnetic material is provided to a rotating portion. The yoke is tube-shaped to surround the permanent magnet and has a chord portion into which a magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet preferentially flows. The chord portion is arranged in such a manner as to be close to the permanent magnet. A Hall element is arranged at a specified position of the stationary portion relative to the permanent magnet 20. The Hall element outputs a signal which corresponds to a density and an angle of a magnetic flux generated between the chord portion and the permanent magnet.

    摘要: This invention relates to a powder composition comprising a silicone represented by the following formula (1) comprising an alcoholic hydroxyl group, and a powder, to an oil-based powder composition formed by dispersing this powder composition in an oil, and to a cosmetic material containing these materials. R1aR2bR3cSiO(4−a−b−c)/2  (1) where, in formula (1), R1 are identical or different organic groups selected from alkyl groups, aryl, aralkyl or fluorinated alkyl groups having 1-30 carbon atoms, R2 is a substituent having one or more alcoholic hydroxy groups, R3 is a group represented by the following general formula (2),  and a, b, c, d are integers satisfying the relations: 1.0≦a≦2.5, 0.01≦b≦1, 0.001≦c≦1, 1.5≦a+b+c≦2.6, and 0≦d≦500. The powder composition of this invention has little cohesion, excellent dispersibility and excellent stability over time as an oil-based powder composition. Therefore, cosmetics using these materials have excellent stability in use, and excellent stability over time.
