    摘要： An improved method for manufacturing liquid crystal device is described. The method comprises mating a pair of substrates with an inner space therebetween, sealing the periphery of the mated substrates except for inlet ports, placing the mated substrates in a vacuum chamber, evacuating air from the inner space between the substrates by virtue of the differential pressure between the inner space and the vacuum chamber, pouring a liquid crystal material into the inlet ports, introducing the liquid crystal material into the inner space by elevating the pressure of the vacuum chamber at an elevated temperature, cooling the liquid crystal material, and closing the inlet ports by means of a sealing member. The removal of the superfluous portion of the liquid crystal material is done only after closing of the inlet ports.

    摘要： An electrophotographic copier of the type moving an original document and optics relative to each other to expose a photoconductive element imagewise via the optics to thereby form a latent image on the photoconductive element, developing the latent image to produce a visible image, and transferring the visible image to a paper sheet. The size of an original document which is positioned on a glass platen with one corner portion of the glass platen as a reference is sensed, and a lens included in the optics is displaced in response to the document size sensed. A paper sheet is transported with its center with respect to the widthwise direction registered aligned with the center of an image which is provided on the photoconductive element.

The counted value of the first counter is revised so as to be equal to the counted value of the second counter when a copy paper jam occurs.

    摘要： A copy paper feeding device for a copying apparatus includes a plurality of cassettes which are capable of storing copy paper sheets and a feeder which respectively corresponds to each of the cassettes. Each feeder is selectively driven so as to feed the copy paper sheets in the case where the cassettes store copy paper sheets having different sizes and each feeder is driven in a predetermined order so as to feed the copy paper sheets from one cassette until the cassette is empty and then successively feed the copy paper sheets from the remaining cassette in the case where the cassettes store copy paper sheets having the same size. The copy paper feeding device includes a selector for selecting which feeder is to be driven.

    摘要： An electrostatic copying apparatus wherein a stationary original document image is projected onto a photosensitive member during movement of an optical device for exposing, and an electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive member is transferred onto a copy sheet and is fixed, comprising (a) a jam detecting means for immediately detecting a copy sheet being jammed on a transport path; and (b) a cleaning device for removing residual toner particles remaining on the photosensitive member by means of magnetic force and for storing the removed toner particles after transferring operation. According to this invention, an occurrence of jam is detected immediately, and thus a fault or an accident of the electrostatic copying apparatus due to jam is prevented from expanding.

    摘要： An operation lever mechanism for a tape player which comprises an array of operation levers including a play-operation lever for advancing a head plate alone, a stop-operation lever for retiring the head plate, a fast forward-operation lever and a rewind-operation lever, engaging portions provided on the operation levers, respectively; an operating member provided between the operation levers and adapted to be operated, upon depression of any one of the operation levers, through engagement thereof with the depressed operation lever to lock said lever in the depressed position and restore the operation lever adjacent said depressed lever which has been depressed previously; an interlocking member provided in association with the stop-operation lever for an ejecting operation and formed with a projected portion engageable with a salient portion of said stop-operation lever, said operating member having an operation portion for displacing the projected portion of the interlocking member out of the actuation area of the salient portion of the stop-operation lever. With the arrangement, upon depression of any one of the operation levers, the lever previously depressed is released and the lever now depressed is locked in the position and the stop-operation lever can act two ways, namely to stop the operation rendered by the other operation lever and to effect a cassette ejecting operation in cooperation with the interlocking member engaged therewith when any other operation lever is not in an operative condition.
