摘要: Described herein is a process for manufacturing a coated cathode active material including the steps of

    (a) providing a particulate electrode active material according to general formula Li1+xTM1−xO2, where TM is Ni,
    (b) treating said particulate electrode active material with an aqueous medium that may include a heteropoly acid or a compound of Al or Sb,
    (c) removing the water from step (b) at least partially,
    (d) optionally, adding at least one heteropoly acid or a compound of Al or Sb, as particulate compound or as aqueous solution or slurry,
    (e) optionally, treating the mixture from step (d) thermally,
    (f) adding at least one compound selected from the group consisting of B2O3, boric acid and lithium borates to the solid material obtained from step (e), if applicable, or from step (d) or (c), respectively, and
    (g) treating the residue obtained from step (f) thermally.

摘要: A process for producing a low-cost water-reactive sulfide material includes reacting a substantially anhydrous first alkali metal salt, a substantially anhydrous first sulfide compound, and a substantially anhydrous first alkali metal hydrosulfide compound in a substantially anhydrous polar solvent, providing differential solubility for a substantially high solubility second sulfide and a substantially low solubility second alkali metal salt, and forming a mixture of the high solubility second sulfide, a second alkali metal hydrosulfide, and the low solubility second alkali metal salt; removing the low solubility second alkali metal salt to isolate the supernatant including the second sulfide, and separating the polar solvent from the second sulfide and the second alkali metal hydrosulfide followed by heating to produce the second sulfide. The present disclosure provides a scalable process for production of a high purity alkali metal sulfide that is essentially free of undesired contaminants.

摘要: A method for the calcination of powdery or fine-particled plaster, comprising two steps: the plaster is subjected to a flash-calcination in a calcinator and the hot plaster is post-calcinated in a reaction vessel. Post-calcination is carried out in the reaction vessel by adding humid gas, said reaction vessel not being heated. The postcalcination takes place over a long period of time, that is at least 10 times, preferably 50-100 times longer than the amount of time taken for flash calcination. Calcination takes place without expending additional energy, and the remaining dihydrate produced during the flash calcination is also transformed into semi-hydrate and undesired anhydrite fractions are reduced. The method can ensure consistency in the product quality and also increase product quality. The temperature in the upstream calcinator can be lowered thus saving more energy. The method can also be used to accelerate the ageing of calcinated plaster.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing an anhydrous powder having a calcium nitrate content of between 92 and 99.9 weight %, a water content of between 0.1 and 8 weight %; and a particle size of between 0.05 and 1.5 mm, wherein the method comprises the step of subjecting a calcium nitrate solution having a water content of between 70 and 15 weight % and a calcium nitrate content of between 30 and 85 weight % to a drying step in an industrial turbo-dryer, resulting in the anhydrous calcium nitrate powder. The invention furthermore relates to such an anhydrous calcium nitrate powder and the use of an industrial turbo-dryer to produce such anhydrous calcium nitrate powder.
