摘要： A wick layer is attached and fixed to one surface of a metal tape without forming a gap with the metal surface, and thereafter, the tape is rolled so that the surface having the wick layer serves as an inner surface, thus forming a pipe shape, then the pipe wall is corrugated. According to the above process, the wick layer is completely and uniformly attached to the inner surface of the heat pipe.

摘要： Herein disclosed is a heat pipe type heat exchanger which comprises: a container for containing a first heating medium therein or causing the same to flow therethrough; at least one heat pipe extending liquid-tight with a substantially horizontal axis through the container; and a tube extending gas-tight and axially through the heat pipe for causing a second heating medium to flow therethrough, whereby the heat exchange is effected between the first and second heating mediums through the walls of the heat pipe and the tube. In case a plurality of heat pipes are provided, the individual tubes extending axially through the corresponding heat pipes are connected at their ends to each other by means of bends such that they make a zigzag or meandering piping. This retains a wide heat exchanging area. Since the first and second heating mediums to have their heats exchanged with each other are isolated from each other by the heat pipes and the tubes, they are kept away from directly contacting or mixing with each other even if pin holes are formed in either the heat pipes or the tubes. This structure is effective for the heat exchanger between metallic sodium and water. Since the heat pipes are positioned horizontally, moreover, the working fluid can be distributed automatically and sufficiently to the portions receiving heat from the outside so that it can be evaporated to a satisfactory extent.

摘要： A period of a first edge, a voltage change in a first direction of a first pulse signal fed from a zero-crossing detecting circuit, is detected. A second edge, a voltage change in a second direction opposite to the first direction, is generated when a time period equal to half the period of the first edge has elapsed from the next first edge. In response to a second pulse signal generated from the first and second edges, phase control of power to be supplied to heating elements is performed by using triacs. In this manner, during power control using a signal from the zero-crossing detecting circuit as a trigger signal, is achieved stable power control which enables tracking even though the power supply frequency fluctuates, and which is impervious to the effect of the positive or negative polarity of an input power supply.

摘要： This invention is intended to control the amount of power to be supplied to a fusing heater below a maximum applicable current value. The engine controller supplies electricity to both of two heating bodies at the same fixed duty D1. At a phase angle al corresponding to the fixed duty D1, pulse signals ON1 and ON2 are issued in response to a ZEROX signal as a trigger. A current value I1 is detected based on a HCRRT signal from the current detection circuit. The engine controller calculates an upper limit of applicable power duty Dlimit based on the detected current value I1, the fixed duty D1 and the preset applicable current value Ilimit. Then, a PI temperature control is performed at a duty below the upper-limit duty Dlimit.
