摘要: A wireless transceiver includes a plurality of phased array antennas, that transmit an outbound RF signal containing outbound data to remote transceivers and that receives an inbound RF signal containing inbound data from the remote RF transceivers, wherein the plurality of phased array antennas are each configurable based on a control signal. An antenna configuration controller generates the control signal to configure the phased array antenna to hop among a plurality of radiation patterns based on a hopping sequence. An RF transceiver section generates the outbound RF signal based on the outbound data and that generates the inbound data based on the inbound RF signal. In one configuration, a switching section selectively couples a selected one of the plurality of phased array antennas to the RF transceiver section, based on the control signal. In figuration, the RF transceiver section includes an RF section for each antenna array.

摘要: A method and system for Bluetooth (BT) delayed acknowledgment is presented. Aspects of the system may include an initiator device, such as a WLAN access point (AP), which enables transmission of a protocol data unit, such as a BlockAckReq frame, to a responder device, such as a Smartphone, via a first network, for example a WLAN. The Smartphone may be equipped with capabilities that enable communication via WLAN and Bluetooth networks. The AP may wait to receive a response protocol data unit, such as a BlockAck frame, via the first network (WLAN) for a response time duration. The response time duration may be based on the communication slot time duration for communication by the Smartphone on a second network, for example a BT piconet. The communication slot time duration may correspond to the time duration for a BT slot.

摘要: A method for generating a preamble of a frame for a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless communication begins by, for each transmit antenna of the MIMO wireless communication, generating a carrier detect field, wherein, from transmit antenna to transmit antenna, the carrier detect field is cyclically shifted. The method continues by, for a first grouping of the transmit antennas of the MIMO wireless communication: generating a first guard interval following the carrier detect field; and generating at least one channel sounding field, wherein, from transmit antenna to transmit antenna in the first grouping, the at least one channel sounding field is cyclically shifted, and wherein the at least one channel sounding field follows the first guard interval. The method continues by, when the MIMO wireless communication includes more than the first grouping of the transmit antennas, for another grouping of the transmit antennas: generating at least one other channel sounding field, wherein, from transmit antenna to transmit antenna in the another grouping, the at least one other channel sounding field is cyclically shifted, and wherein the at least one other channel sounding field follows the at least one channel sounding field; and generating the first guard interval prior to the at least one other channel sounding field.

摘要: A network interface examines a field of a successfully transmitted frame following a contention resolution and transmission ordering among a plurality of nodes contending for transmission of a frame. The field indicates whether the successfully transmitting node has any additional frames to transmit. The number of backoff slots is maintained at a current value, rather than decremented, if the field indicates that the successfully transmitting node has an additional frame to transmit. The next frame to be transmitted is assigned the highest backoff slot. This procedure avoids re-contention and re-ordering when the contending nodes have additional frames to transmit, thereby improving overall network performance.

摘要: A clock generating circuit is provided with a pair of programmable clock dividers coupled to a phase error detector for detecting a phase difference between signals corresponding to reference and clock signals. Frequency change logic produces a frequency adjustment signal that adjusts the frequency of the clock signal to eliminate the phase difference. The frequency adjustment signal is used to control a delay time in a first programmable delay chain. An updated frequency adjustment signal controls a delay time in a second programmable delay chain that receives an output signal of the first programmable delay chain. Signals delayed in the first and second programmable delay chains cause a stable clock signal at a variable frequency to be produced.

摘要: Aspects of multicast retry in a communication network includes a terminal device serving as an originator station device within a multicast group configured to provide transmission of one or more protocol data units via a network utilizing a multicast address. Subsequent to transmission of the one or more protocol data units, the terminal device may receive an acknowledgment protocol data unit via one of many destination terminal devices configured to serve as a responder. The received acknowledgment protocol data unit provides a basis to determine whether the transmitted protocol data units were successfully received by one or more destination terminal devices. One or more of the protocol data units may be retransmitted based on the determination. Also, following retransmission, a supplemental acknowledgment protocol data unit may be provided via a destination terminal device of the destination terminal devices exclusive of the responder destination terminal device.
