    摘要: Disclosed herein is an image taking apparatus including an image taking device, a gain adjustment circuit, and a correction circuit. The image taking device operates with timings based on a frame rate determined in advance and the total number of horizontal lines, has an electronic shutter allowing a shutter speed to be adjusted, receives light in a period equal to the shutter speed of the electronic shutter and carries out an opto-electrical conversion process on the light for every horizontal line in order to generate a predetermined signal. The gain adjustment circuit adjusts the gain of the electrical signal received from the image taking device. The correction circuit compares an image taking video signal with a reference video signal to compute a flicker component as a component oriented in the vertical direction of an image represented by the image taking video signal in a flicker correction process of eliminating flickers.

    摘要: An electronic device (e.g., a display device) (101) is connected with an external connection device (e.g., an image recording/playback device) (201), thereby to perform data communications. A controller (103) of the electronic device (101) decides, in case it receives operation information, whether or not an operation screen (GUI) for the electronic device (101) is displayed. When the operation screen is displayed, the controller (103) further decides whether or not a key (a reception key) corresponding to the received operation information is effective for the operation screen. The controller (103) performs, when the reception key is effective for the operation screen, a control responding to the reception key, and, when the reception key is not effective for the operation screen, sends the received operation information to the external connection device (201). With the operation screens of both the electronic device and the external connection device being simultaneously displayed, one remote control makes only one operative, while the operation screens of the two being prevented from simultaneously operating.

    摘要: In an edge detecting apparatus and a noise eliminating apparatus, low AC components are detected from frequency components obtained by orthogonally transforming an image signal in rectangular units. Edge components are included in the low AC components among the frequency components. Based on this characteristic, based on the result of detecting the low AC components, in a rectangular-unit image corresponding to the low AC components, it is determined whether edge components corresponding to the low AC components are included in a rectangular unit image, and an edge direction is detected if the edge components are included. This enables ensured detection of edge components in any portions of a screen.

    摘要: In a multimedia information sharing system, multimedia information is shared between multiple devices over a network to which a server is connected. The server includes: a management table for managing identifiers to identify terminal devices and the addresses of the devices on the network; a server receiving section receiving the identifier from a first terminal device; a processing section for getting the address of the first terminal device by reference to the identifier received and the address of a second terminal device, identified by another identifier received, by reference to the identifier and the management table; and a server transmitting section for sending the address of the second terminal device to the first terminal device if the first terminal device retains the multimedia information and sending the address of the first terminal device to the second terminal device if the second terminal device retains the multimedia information. The multimedia information is transmitted, received and shared between the first and second terminal devices by reference to the address provided.
