Abstract:
The invention discloses a method (400) for use in a controlling node (110) of a cell (105) in cellular communications system (100), and comprises the steps of: • Overhearing and recording (405), at a first predefined point (410) in the controlling node (110), traffic transmitted by the controlling node to one or more user terminals (115, 120, 125) in said cell (105), • Repeating or playing back (420) recorded traffic at a second predefined point (425) in the controlling node (110), so that said recorded traffic is mixed (445) with traffic, if any, which is actually transmitted to user terminals (115, 120, 125) in the cell (105).
Abstract:
The technology in this application identifies a relay cell serviced by a relay radio node in a radio access network (RAN) of a cellular communications system in which there is a radio connection between the relay radio node and a donor radio base station. The donor radio base station is identified by a RAN donor radio base station cell identifier. A RAN relay cell identifier is determined that uniquely identifies the relay cell within the RAN, the RAN relay cell identifier including a relay cell identifier and a donor base station identifier. The RAN relay cell identifier is then provided or used as needed so that the relay radio node can transmit the RAN relay cell identifier to uniquely identify the relay cell to one or more radio terminals in the RAN.
Abstract:
Measurement event evaluation is of interest in a user equipment (UE) configured with multiple downlink component carriers (CCs). The UE performs measurements of a neighbor and a specific one of the configured CCs, being used as a reference CC. The UE evaluates, based on the measurements of the neighbor and the reference CC, being a specific one of the configured CCs, an evaluation criterion for triggering a measurement report from the UE. In this way, the number of event evaluations and measurement reports can be reduced, since a specific reference CC is used for the purpose of measurement event evaluation in a scenario when the UE is configured with multiple CCs.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for controlling uplink transmission powers of mobile stations in the cellular system are disclosed. Because mobile stations have inherent limitations and output power dynamic range, one mobile station which migrates very close to a common base station may be instructed to reduce its transmission power level to an amount which is less than the inherent mobile station minimum output power threshold. If the mobile station does not reduce power, it dominates neighboring mobile stations, causing other mobile stations which are operating within acceptable parameters to be dropped in favor of the dominating mobile station. The present invention provides a method and apparatus for removing an offending mobile station transmission until a path loss increases to the point that the offending mobile station can operate within acceptable reception power levels by transmitting at its inherent minimum power level.

In a speech recognition device (1) comprising receiving means (36) for receiving voice information (AI) uttered by a speaker and including speech coefficient memory means (38) for storing a speech coefficient indicator (SKI, PRI, SMI, WI) and including speech recognition means (42) which are arranged for recognizing text information (RTI) corresponding to the received voice information (AI) by evaluating the voice information (AI) and the speech coefficient indicator (SKI, PRI, SMI, WI), and including correction means (49) for correcting the recognized text information (RTI) and for producing corrected text information (CTI), text comparing means (52) are provided for comparing the recognized text information (RTI) with the corrected text information (CTI) and for determining at least a correspondence indicator (CI) and the adjusting means (50) are provided for adjusting the stored speech coefficient indicator (SKI, PRI, SMI, WI) by evaluating only one of such text parts (P2) of the corrected text information (CTI) whose correspondence indicator (CI) has a minimum value (MW).
Abstract:
Delays on a common radio communications channel employed by plural mobile stations to communicate with a base station located in a corresponding geographical cell area are minimized by adapting transmission power based on traffic conditions. For lower traffic loads, a higher transmission power is permitted. For higher traffic loads, a lower power level is set. A transmit power level is determined using a desired signal ratio, such as a target CIR, a transmission path loss over the radio communications channel, and an interference value. One or more adaptive power parameters are also employed in that determination to adapt the open loop power control based on one or more current communications conditions and/or characteristics of the mobile station. For example, an adaptive power parameter may be a function of a current interference in a base station cell either alone or in combination with a current interference in one or more neighboring cells. The adaptive power parameter may also account for a type of data packet connection to be employed between the mobile station and the base station after random access, a mobile station's subscription, a current temperature of the mobile station, a current base station used by the mobile station, a current estimated path loss between the mobile station and base station, and/or other factors.
Abstract:
An apparatus applies a coating composition consisting of a resin and fine abrasive particles like corundum particles, to a paper web by feeding the composition to the paper web as it loops around a guide roller to a metering roller juxtaposed with the guide roller. The coating composition, which may develop stripes, is then equalized with a structured roller engaging the paper-web pass leaving the guide roller and formed with at least one thread-like structuring element which may be followed by or preceded by a doctor blade arrangement or a smooth-surfaced roller.
