Abstract: A touch sensor that includes a pressure detection sensor and a position detection sensor. The pressure detection sensor includes a piezoelectric film, a first piezoelectricity detecting electrode adjacent a first principal surface of the piezoelectric film, and a second piezoelectricity detecting electrode adjacent a second principal surface of the piezoelectric film. The position detection sensor includes a dielectric substrate, a plurality of first position detecting electrodes adjacent a first principal surface of the dielectric substrate, and a plurality of second position detecting electrodes adjacent a second principal surface of the dielectric substrate. In the pressure detection sensor, the second piezoelectricity detecting electrode includes an electrode non-forming section in a region where the first position detecting electrode and the second position detecting electrode overlap each other.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a deformation detection sensor that includes: preparing a plurality of thermoplastic resin layers, at least one of which has a main surface on which a conductive member is formed; laminating the plurality of thermoplastic resin layers; after lamination, integrally forming the plurality of thermoplastic resin layers by hot pressing to obtain a laminated body configured so that a transmission line is formed from a first portion of the conductive member and the laminated body; and attaching a piezoelectric film to the laminated body so that a piezoelectric element is formed from a second portion of the conductive member, the laminated body, and the piezoelectric film.

Abstract: A piezoelectric sensor that includes a piezoelectric film, first and second adhesive layers, first and second plate electrodes and a glass plate. Abstract: An electronic device with pressing input function includes a substantially rectangular parallelepiped-shaped housing. A pressure sensor, a display panel, a protective member, and an arithmetic circuit module are disposed in the housing. In the display panel, a front polarizing plate is disposed on a front face of a liquid crystal panel. The pressure sensor includes piezoelectric films having birefringence, and electrodes formed on opposed faces of one of the piezoelectric films. The pressure sensor is disposed between the liquid crystal panel and the front polarizing plate. The piezoelectric films are arranged such that their uniaxial drawing directions are orthogonal to each other.
