摘要: A resin film is disposed facing an upper surface of a diaphragm with a gap interposed therebetween. The gap is provided between a lower surface of the resin film and the upper surface of the diaphragm in a tactile feedback keyboard. Consequently, it is possible to secure a key stroke from the resin film to the upper surface of the diaphragm, and make a user feel a sense of an operation that the user has pushed a key. Further, the gap and the resin film reduces the vibrations from the diaphragm reaching an operation surface. Thus, the user feels the vibrations of the diaphragm via only a finger which has pushed the resin film until the resin film contacts the upper surface of the diaphragm, and the other fingers hardly feel the vibrations.

摘要: A piezoelectric element that includes a plurality of laminated piezoelectric films and adhesive layers. The piezoelectric films stretch and contract in a predetermined direction parallel to principal surfaces thereof when a voltage is applied thereto. The adhesive layers are formed partially between the piezoelectric films when seen from a plan view, are aligned at intervals in the predetermined direction of the stretching and contracting of the piezoelectric films and bond the piezoelectric films to each other. The adhesive layers are formed at both ends of the piezoelectric films in the predetermined direction.

摘要: A tactile feedback device includes a vibrating device and a touch sensor. The vibrating device comprises a flexible diaphragm and a film which deforms in response to the application of electrical energy thereto, the film being attached to the flexible diaphragm at two spaced locations with a major surface of the film facing a major surface of the flexible diaphragm. The vibrating device further includes a spacer located between the two spaced locations and ensuring that the major surface of the flexible diaphragm is spaced from the major surface of the film. The touch sensor is coupled to the diaphragm and generates an output signal in response to a touch operation. Means are provided to apply electrical energy to the film in response to the output signal.
