    摘要: A sheet stacking apparatus which is capable of reliably sandwiching or catching sheets, and also capable of providing control so as to ensure reliable conveyance of succeeding sheets during the catching operation. A stack tray is provided downstream of a processing tray that stacks sheets. A position on the stacking surface of the stack tray at which the leading end of a sheet having its trailing end passing a discharging section, which discharges sheets toward the processing tray, contacts the stacking surface is lower in level than the highest portion of the processing tray. A swinging arm that discharges the sheets stacked on the processing tray to the stack tray is capable of selectively assuming a catching state in which a sheet discharged to the processing tray is caught by the swinging arm, and a non-catching state in which a sheet discharged to the processing tray is not caught by the swinging arm. The swinging arm is controlled to assume the non-catching state when the discharging section starts discharging a sheet, and switch to the catching state before the trailing end of the sheet discharged by the discharging section passes the swinging arm.

    摘要: The invention provides a language data storage and reproduction apparatus wherein manual application of a tag is unnecessary and, even if key inputting for retrieval is not accurate, object language data can be reproduced. A tag application section automatically applies to each language data inputted from a language data inputting section a tag representative of a distribution position of the language data in the entire language data, and a data recognition section performs data recognition processing of the individual language data to obtain recognition data. A storage section stores the recognition data together with the language data to which the tags are applied with reference to the tags. If a word or a phrase to be retrieved is inputted, a key retrieval section retrieves recognition data coincident with the word or the phrase from within the storage section. When the tag corresponding to the retrieved recognition data is outputted as a retrieval result, a data extraction section extracts the language data designated by the tag from the storage section. A language data reproduction section reproduces the language data extracted by the data extraction section.

When a sheet preceding the sheet being conveyed is the last sheet of a set of sheets to be processed by the sheet processing apparatus, the rollers are controlled to increase the conveyance speed of the sheet being conveyed in second timing later than the first timing.
