Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to fallback behavior for sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device determines an activation/deactivation on the configured SRS resource in radio resource control (RRC)_INACTIVE state and behaviours of the terminal device depend on the activation/deactivation. In this way, it improves positioning accuracy for terminal devices in RRC-INACTIVE state. Additionally, it can also improve power consumption efficiency by avoiding unnecessary power consumption of the terminal device.

A target user equipment is configured to: receive a positioning reference signal transmitted by an anchor user equipment; identify at least one positioning reference signal transmission parameter associated with the received positioning reference signal; and determine, based on the at least one positioning reference signal transmission parameter, a sidelink response time value for transmission of the received positioning reference signal by the anchor user equipment, the sidelink response time value being for determining position information for the user equipment.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses, and computer readable storage media of sidelink positioning enhancements. An apparatus selects, from a resource pool, a part of a slot in time domain for communication of a sidelink reference signal. The apparatus generates sidelink control information (SCI) comprising an indication of the part of the slot. The apparatus then transmits the SCI to a terminal device. By efficient usage of SCI, the resource allocation at sub-slot level can be enabled for sidelink positioning. In this way, sidelink positioning sensing is improved in term of resource reservation. In addition, the sidelink positioning reference signal interference can be reduced.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for using angle error groups (AEGs) to improve angle of arrival (AoA) positioning may be provided. For example, for a specific received signal, one or more receiving antenna elements that can be considered to have almost the same incident angle within a certain margin may be defined as a group. The group of receive (Rx) antenna elements (or a group of Rx antennas) may be defined as an AEG. The configuration of an AEG for each TRP and the AEG may be used for AoA measurement and reporting. The gNB or transmit receive point (TRP) may perform AoA measurements and may determine an AoA for the AEGs.
