    Abstract: A UE receives configuration of early state handling assistance information and determines whether early state handling assistance should be reported in a request for a connection to a network. The UE requests the connection to the network, performing one of the following: reporting the early state handling assistance from the network using RRC message(s); or not reporting the early state handling assistance from the network, by the UE using RRC message(s) without an indication of early state handling assistance. A base station transmits the configuration, receives the RRC message(s), and determines whether the message(s) include reporting of the early state handling assistance. The base station performs one of the following: for the RRC message(s) including reporting of early state handling assistance, performing RRC reconfigurations with early state handling processing; or for the RRC message(s) without reporting of early state handling assistance, performing RRC reconfigurations without the early state handling processing.

    Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to transmission in a small data transmission mode. A first device selects, based on a mode selection configuration, a small data transmission mode to be initiated from a plurality of small data transmission modes.     Abstract: An example embodiment relates to Random Access Channel, RACH, procedure, for example in the New Radio, NR. Random access procedures may be of two types, contention based CBRA and contention free, CFRA. A client device may only perform CBRA fallback when none of the reference signal received strengths, RSRPs, of the synchronization signal blocks, SSBs, which is associated with the CFRA resources is above a predefined threshold, T1. All SSBs and CSI-RS with associated CFRA resources may be below the threshold. Then, the client device may select an SSB or CSI-RS according to a predefined rule and perform CFRA when CFRA resources are associated. Devices, methods and computer programs are disclosed accordingly.
