Abstract: A UE includes an EUTRA-CMR reception unit that receives a codec mode request (EUTRA-CMR) including a codec mode that is determined by an eNB in accordance with a radio condition of the UE, a mode switching notification unit that notifies an encoder of switching to the codec mode included in the received codec mode request; and a mode switching acknowledgement unit that transmits a response message to the eNB when confirming that the encoder switches the codec mode.

Abstract: A user equipment in a wireless communications system supporting direct communication between user equipments selects a sidelink destination group (ProSe destination) associated with a sidelink logical channel having a highest logical channel priority among sidelink logical channels, which have data available for transmission in a sidelink control period (SC period) and which have not previously been selected in the same SC period, wherein each of the sidelink logical channels belongs to a sidelink destination group, each of the sidelink logical channels is allocated to a logical channel group (LCG) depending on a priority of said each sidelink logical channel and on a priority of the logical channel group, and the logical channel group is defined per sidelink destination group. The user equipment allocates radio resources to sidelink logical channels belonging to the selected sidelink destination group in decreasing priority order, and transmits the data using the allocated radio resources.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a band usage information generating and reporting method, a charging method, an eNB, a CN, a MME and a UE. The eNB and the UE can generate band usage information for charging, and report the band usage information to the CN, wherein the band usage information involves band usage of at least a first band and a second band, and traffic is assigned to respective bands by the eNB. The Counting entity at the eNB or UE can count the data volume of each band or ratio of data volume via different bands as the band usage information based on the scheduling information of the data. The Charging system located in the CN can process the charging and generate a bill according to the reported band usage information.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a relay UE for relaying protocol data units between a remote UE and a radio base station. A control packet is received by the relay UE from the remote UE via a first sidelink bearer, comprising a priority indication associated with protocol data units transmitted by the remote user equipment via the first sidelink bearer. The relay UE stores an association between the priority indication and a radio bearer used by the relay UE to relay the protocol data packets. The relay UE determines, based on the stored association, the priority according to which a protocol data unit, received from the base station via the first radio bearer, should be transmitted to the remote UE, and relays the received protocol data unit to the remote user equipment using a second sidelink bearer that corresponds to the determined priority.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for discovery of one or more relay user equipments within a mobile communication network. A relay user equipment is capable to perform direct communication over a direct sidelink connection respectively with one or more remote user equipments, and is further capable to serve as a relay respectively for the one or more remote user equipments to relay communication between the one or more remote user equipments and the radio base station. The relay user equipment determines whether an overload situation exists in the relay user equipment or not, the overload situation preventing the relay user equipment to serve as a relay for a further remote user equipment. The relay user equipment transmits a relay discovery message, at least comprising an overload indication providing information on the result of the determination as to whether the overload situation exists in the relay user equipment.

Abstract: The layer processing includes at least processing on a first, a second and a third layer. At the transmitter side, the third layer receives a packet, adds its header and forwards the packet to the second layer. The second layer performs segmentation and provides segmented data to the first layer, which maps the segmented data onto physical resources. The segmentation is based on the allocated resources. Retransmissions may take place on the third layer and thus, the third layer may re-segment the packet according to the received feedback for particular segments and provide the re-segmented data to the lower layers. Alternatively, the feedback information is provided to the second layer which then performs the segmentation by taking it into account. Correspondingly, the receiver performs re-ordering and re-assembly at the third layer for which it receives also control information from the second layer.
