A watching apparatus includes a housing, a display provided on the housing, a camera provided on the housing, a determiner that determines a watching target in a camera image captured by the camera, a position detector that detects a position of the watching target in the camera image, and a display controller that displays an application image that does not include the camera image on the display on the basis of the detected position of the watching target.

A determination system includes a mastoid electrode that is located on a left mastoid of a user when an intention of the user to move a portion on a right side of a body of the user is detected and that is located on a right mastoid of the user when an intention of the user to move a portion on a left side of the body of the user is detected; an ear hole electrode that is located in an ear hole of the user; an electroencephalogram signal measurer that obtains a voltage between the mastoid electrode and the ear hole electrode; and a determiner that determines whether or not a change in the voltage includes the intention to move the portion on the right side of the body or the intention to move the portion on the left side of the body.

A cardiac potential measuring device comprising: a first electrode and a second electrode; a potential difference acquisition circuitry that acquires a potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode as cardiac potential; an attachment direction detector that detects an attachment direction that is a direction of a virtual line that connects the first electrode and the second electrode attached to the body of the user; and an attachment direction calculator that calculates and outputs a preferred attachment direction in which the potential difference larger than any one of a first potential difference and a second potential difference is generated.

A master motion information obtaining unit obtains at least one or more pieces of master motion information including a position, a posture, a speed, and an angular velocity of a master arm mechanism. A physical information obtaining unit obtains physical information of an operator including an arm weight of the operator. A master motion information correcting unit generates corrected master motion information where an amount of correction of the master motion information is corrected such that heavier the arm weight of the operator included in the physical information, larger a movement of a slave arm. A slave controller controls a slave arm mechanism, according to the corrected master motion information.

A three-dimensional display device includes: a display region candidate deciding unit that decides a candidate region of an additional image which shields part of a main image of a three-dimensional image on a screen; a depth suitability determination unit that determines whether a difference in depth between the main image and the additional image is within a tolerance range; an image compositing unit that superimposes the additional image upon the candidate region on the main image, and displays the composited image; and a possibly-unsuitable region deciding unit that decides, in the main image, a first region that may protrude to a near side beyond a predetermined depth range, and a second region that may recess to a far side beyond a predetermined depth range. The display region candidate deciding unit further decides a candidate region to shield the first and second regions.
