摘要: A neural stimulus comprises at least three stimulus components, each comprising at least one of a temporal stimulus phase and a spatial stimulus pole. A first stimulus component delivers a first charge which is unequal to a third charge delivered by a third stimulus component, and the first charge and third charge are selected so as to give rise to reduced artefact at recording electrodes. In turn this may be exploited to independently control a correlation delay of a vector detector and an artefact vector to be non-parallel or orthogonal.

摘要: An electrode for acquiring electroencephalogram signals of a user includes a base and a plurality of legs extending from the base at first extremity. The legs include a second extremity covered with an electrically conductive material. The second extremity includes a smaller cross-section than the first extremity of the legs so the legs can penetrate through hair of the user. The legs elastically flex such that, when the electrode is applied on a user's head, the electrically conductive material of the second extremity contacts a scalp of the user, wherein the base is of cuboid shape having two side faces, the legs being directly attached to the side faces of the base, the legs being symmetrically attached to the base with respect to a longitudinal axis and the legs attached to a side face of the base facing the legs attached to the other side face of the base.

摘要: A three-dimensional neural probe electrode array system is described. Planar probes are microfabricated and electrically connected to flexible micro-machined ribbon cables using a rivet bonding technique. The distal end of each cable is connected to a probe with the proximal end of the cable being customized for connection to a printed circuit board. Final assembly consists of combining multiple such assemblies into a single structure. Each of the two-dimensional neural probe arrays is positioned into a micro-machined platform that provides mechanical support and alignment for each array. Lastly, a micro-machined cap is placed on top of each neural electrode probe and cable assembly to protect them from damage during shipping and subsequent use. The cap provides a relatively planar surface for attachment of a computer controlled inserter for precise insertion into the tissue.

摘要: A method and system for a user interface for artifact removal in an EEG is disclosed herein. The invention allows an operator to select a plurality of artifacts to be automatically removed from an EEG recording using a user interface. The operator pushes a button on the user interface to apply a plurality of filters to remove the plurality of artifacts from the EEG and generate a clean EEG for viewing.

摘要: One variation of a method for testing contact quality of electrical-biosignal electrodes includes: outputting a drive signal through a driven electrode, the drive signal comprising an alternating-current component oscillating at a reference frequency and a direct-current component; reading a set of sense signals from a set of sense electrodes at a first time; calculating a first combination of the set of sense signals; calculating a first direct-current value comprising a combination of the first combination and the direct-current component of the drive signal at approximately the first time; and at a second time succeeding the first time, shifting the direct-current component of the drive signal output by the driven electrode to the first direct-current value.
