Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A source user equipment (UE) may determine which subscriber identity module (SIM) card to use based on information of the target UE. For example, the target UE may have poor call quality using a first SIM, but high call quality when using a second SIM. The target UE may indicate the call quality for each SIM in subscription information to the source UE. The source UE may determine to use the second SIM of the target UE instead of the first SIM, resulting in higher call quality for the target UE. The subscription information may include a variety of information related to the target UE, such as subscriptions of the target UE, RAT availabilities for the target UE, etc. The target UE may also configure settings for receiving or rejecting data calls. The target UE may configure whether to receive data calls based on connectivity parameters.

Abstract: A base station may transmit to a user equipment (UE) one or more indices corresponding to one or more carrier aggregation (CA) band combinations via a UE capability request. The transmitted UE capability requests may include an identifier that corresponds to the UE or the capability procedure between the UE and the base station. Then the UE may respond to the request by including the identifier and an indication of its capability corresponding to the transmitted indices in a UE capability response. Additionally the UE may include an aggregation indicator which signals to the network that the UE's capabilities are to be aggregated with additional indications of UE capability received in other UE capability responses that also include the identifier. Subsequent UE capability responses that include the identifier and an indication that the UE's capabilities may be aggregated will be combined with previously received UE capabilities.

The techniques allow the UE to transmit an indication of reception to a first base station during the autonomous tune-away period of operation during which the UE may be configured to receive signals from a second base station. The indication of reception may correspond to a signal transmitted or to be transmitted by the first base station during the autonomous tune-away period of operation. The indication of reception transmitted during the autonomous tune-away period of time may influence signals transmitted by the first base station after an end of the autonomous tune-away period of operation.
