    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to include procedures to selectively release a portion of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) memory based on the priority of each component carrier of the first connection when performing a radio tune-away to a second connection. For example, the UE may determine the amount of memory space associated with the HARQ processes for the second connection and selectively release a portion of HARQ memory based on the priority of each component carrier of the first connection when the determined amount of memory space is greater than the empty space of the HARQ memory.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sidelink (SL) channel selection coordination. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes measuring, during a time period shorter than one slot, a channel condition of at least one first channel in a sidelink (SL) frequency band. The method further includes transmitting a signal on the at least one first channel or a second channel of the SL frequency band, wherein the at least one first channel or the second channel is chosen based on the channel condition.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to mechanisms for a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) device to prioritize communication from other nearby V2X devices and to selectively process packets from the other nearby V2X devices based on the assigned priorities. The V2X device may measure one or more performance factors of the V2X device, and select one or more other nearby V2X devices to receive and process packets therefrom based on the performance factors and the priorities assigned to the other V2X devices. The V2X device may then ignore any packets received from non-selected V2X devices to reduce and/or control the receive packet flow rate. The performance factors may further be utilized to control one or more transmission characteristics, such as the transmit power and transmit packet flow rate.
