摘要: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for signaling and using one or more virtual cell identifications (V-cell IDs) for single frequency network (SFN)-type of transmissions in wireless communications systems. A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. In an aspect, the method may include performing, by a user equipment (UE), a cell search to obtain a cell ID, and decoding, by the UE, a message based on the cell ID, wherein the message includes a master information block (MIB). The method may further include identifying, by the UE, a virtual cell ID used for SFN-type transmissions based on information decoded from the message. The techniques described herein may apply to different communications technologies, including 5th Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) communications technology.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure provide various procedures and methods for accelerated secondary cell (SCell) activation when carrier aggregation (CA) is configured. A scheduling entity receives, from a network entity, an indication of anticipated data for a user equipment (UE) in an idle mode. The scheduling entity determines supplemental wake-up information based on the carrier aggregation capability of the PCell. The scheduling entity transmits a wake-up message to the UE. The wake up message is configured to cause the UE to wake up in a CA configuration using the PCell and one or more SCells, based on the supplemental wakeup information.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for using a common physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) to indicate transmission beams to be used by a base station during a transmission opportunity or a periodicity to monitor search spaces are described. A user equipment (UE) may monitor a search space (in some cases, using a periodicity) for the common PDCCH to determine if transmission beams associated with the UE are to be used during the transmission opportunity. If so, the UE may wake-up during at least a portion of the transmission opportunity to receive additional information. If the common PDCCH indicates that no transmission beams associated with the UE are to be used during the transmission opportunity, the UE may enter or re-enter the sleep state. The UE may switch to a new periodicity for monitoring the search space based on the information transmitted within the common PDCCH.

摘要: Wireless communications systems and methods related to initial network access in a network deployed over a downlink unlicensed band paired with one or more UL bands are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device in a downlink unlicensed band, a first broadcast communication signal during a discovery time period configured based on a network discovery configuration. The first broadcast communication signal includes a configuration for requesting a second broadcast communication signal when there is no second broadcast communication signal detected within the discovery time period. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device, a request for the second broadcast communication signal based on the configuration. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device in the downlink unlicensed band, the second broadcast communication signal outside of the discovery time period in response to the request.
