Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for using ranging signals to determine a position of a pedestrian user equipment (P-UE). In an aspect, a UE receives a plurality of ranging signals transmitted by one or more UEs, measures one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals, and calculates an estimate of the position of the P-UE based on the one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals. In an aspect, the P-UE transmits a plurality of ranging signals, receives a first message and a second message from first and second vehicle UEs (V-UEs), the first and second messages including first and second estimated positions of the P-UE and associated first and second confidences, and calculates an estimate of the position of the P-UE based on the first estimated position, the first confidence, the second estimated position, the second confidence, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for group communication which may include a first UE and a set of UEs. In one aspect, the first UE may receive from each UE of the set of UEs a PDU including a header that includes a QoS level for the UE. The first UE can also determine a supported QoS level for the first UE. In another aspect, the first UE can set a transmission QoS level for the first UE to be a lowest QoS level of the determined supported QoS level and the QoS level from each UE of the set of UEs. In a further aspect, the first UE can transmit by multicast to the set of UEs a PDU based on the set transmission QoS level.

An indication of resources, corresponding to a first RAT sidelink of the two different RAT sidelinks, to exclude in assigning first resources, corresponding to a first RAT sidelink of the two different RAT sidelinks, can also be transmitted to the at least one base station or a second base station. One or more resource grants assigning at least one of the first resources for transmitting using the first RAT sidelink of the two different RAT sidelinks or second resources for transmitting using the second RAT sidelink of the two different RAT sidelinks can be received from the at least one base station or the second base station.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine whether a peer-to-peer (P2P) communication is to be relayed based at least in part on a location of the UE and a range requirement associated with the P2P communication; and transmit the P2P communication, wherein the P2P communication includes an indication of whether the P2P communication is to be relayed. In some aspects, a UE may receive the P2P communication; determine whether to relay the P2P communication based at least in part on the indication and at least one of: a location of the UE, or a UE identifier, included in the P2P communication, that identifies the UE and is associated with a request for the UE to relay the P2P communication; and selectively relay the P2P communication based at least in part on determining whether to relay the P2P communication.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to mechanisms for a user equipment for indicating resources having limited wireless wide area network (WWAN) transmission capability. In some examples, the user equipment transmits a sidelink transmission configuration to the WWAN, the sidelink transmission configuration including one or more sidelink transmission patterns. In some examples, the user equipment selects a sidelink transmission pattern from among the one or more sidelink transmission patterns based on expected sidelink transmissions.

The first device may determine whether to yield transmission of additional data to the second device during at least a second transmission slot based on the priority information.
