Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting, to a base station, an uplink capability message indicating a coherent uplink multiple-in-multiple-out (MIMO) capability associated with coherent transmission characteristics. The method also includes receiving, from the base station, a switch parameter that configures the UE for a transmission chain switch. The method further includes receiving, from the base station, a switching message that triggers the transmission chain switch between a reference signal (RS) transmission and a scheduled data communication. The method still further includes transmitting the data communication according to one or more non-coherent transmission characteristics based on the transmission chain switch being triggered between the RS transmission and the scheduled data communication.

Abstract: Method and apparatus to signal insertion loss for SRS antenna switching. The apparatus determines an insertion loss for each antenna of a plurality of antennas. The apparatus generates an offset matrix correction based at least on the insertion loss for each antenna of the plurality of antennas. The apparatus transmits the offset matrix correction to a base station. The apparatus may transmit an SRS, at a maximum power, from each antenna of the plurality of antennas to each receive antenna of the base station. The apparatus may collect insertion loss information for each antenna of the plurality of antennas. The insertion loss information indicates at least a power difference for each of the plurality of antennas at the UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine an average energy level radiated by the UE over a time period. The UE may determine whether the average energy level radiated by the UE over the time period exceeds a maximum permissible exposure (MPE) limit. The UE may transmit, to base station, a medium access control (MAC) control element (MAC-CE) that includes information related to a power management maximum power reduction (P-MPR) applied at the UE and/or an uplink duty cycle in effect at the UE based at least in part on the average energy level radiated by the UE over the time period exceeding the MPE limit. Numerous other aspects are provided.

In certain aspects, a method includes generating a set of Gold sequences each having a length and adjusting the length of each of the Gold sequences in the set of Gold sequences. The method also includes applying a phase rotation to each of the Gold sequences in the set of Gold sequences and modulating each of the Gold sequences in the set of Gold sequences by a DFT-s-OFDM with frequency domain spectral shaping (FDSS). The method further includes selecting one or more sequences from the set of modulated Gold sequences based on a parameter and transmitting the one or more sequences to a user equipment (UE) or a base station (BS).
