Abstract: Disclosed herein is a modular application programming interface (API) system (MAS) for facilitating the efficient integration of various data sources. Data packets received from a dynamically growing set of data sources can be processed and/or validated without requiring redundant engineering work whenever a new data source is added to the set of data sources. In some embodiments, the MAS provides a schema editor interface for creating and editing MAS schemas and a schema database for storing MAS schemas created and edited within the schema editor interface.
