Two dispensing cylinders are secured in side-by-side relation and have pistons whose rods protrude through one end of the cylinders and are yoked together outside the package. A threaded nut is formed in that one end of the package, between the cylinders, and receives a threaded operator. The operator protrudes through an opening in the yoke, which provides a bearing, and is equipped with a handwheel. As the handwheel is turned, the threaded rod is pulled through the nut, consequently advancing both pistons. The threaded rod enters a pocket between the cylinders and the pistons and piston rods are not required to rotate as they are advanced. The package is preferably marked to correlate the amount of product dispensed with the extent of turning of the handwheel.

Convection-preventing layers of graphite foils are disposed between the layers and between the innermost layer and the tube. The layers are maintained pressured against the tube and against one another by a plurality of surrounding graphite strands. A plurality of cover discs of foamed graphite having graphite foils on one side thereof are seated against upper ends of the layers and of the tube, the foils on the discs extending upwardly to lie against the peripheral end walls of the discs.

An operator assembly is fitted on the opposite end of the body and unites a cap, an operator, such as a handwheel, a helically threaded rod for each cylinder, a piston mounted on each rod for longitudinal travel upon rotation of the rod, a gear plate receiving a set of gears which interconnect the threaded rods with the operator, so that as the operator is turned, the pistons are advanced. Several assembly aids are shown. A variation is shown, wherein the situs of the spouts is displaced to an intermediate location on the front face of the body, so the body can be footed and thus supported upright, e.g., for use as a condiment dispenser.Most of the principles of the invention are equally applicable to dispensers having only one chamber.
