摘要: The present invention relates to an arrangement for treatment of articles by hot pressing and preferably by hot isostatic pressing. In particular, the present invention relates to such an arrangement capable of obtaining a rapid rate without the need of special purpose valves for the cooling. A furnace chamber is provided inside the pressure vessel of the arrangement and a heat insulated casing arranged to surround the furnace chamber. A bottom insulating portion is arranged beneath the furnace chamber. Further, a fan having a controllable number of revolutions for circulating the pressure medium within the furnace chamber is arranged in the pressure vessel, and preferable within the furnace chamber. At least one feeding passage is arranged to allow feeding of pressure medium from a region being colder than a region within the furnace chamber towards an inlet of the fan, wherein an amount of pressure medium being fed to the inlet of the fan can be controlled by adjusting operational parameters of the fan.

摘要: A high-pressure and a method for high-pressure treatment of substances. The high-pressure press comprises a high-pressure cylinder consisting of a number of concentrically arranged cylinder elements (1, 2, 3). The cylinder elements (1, 2, 3) are radially prestressed to a predetermined prestress and surround a high-pressure chamber (6) for accommodating a pressurized medium. A thin safety liner (3), which is intended to be placed in the high-pressure cylinder until a fracture arises on the safety liner (3), is arranged in the interior of the high-pressure cylinder. Further, means (14, 15) are provided to conduct at least part of the pressurized medium from the high-pressure chamber (6) when a fracture arises on the safety liner (3). The means (14, 15) comprise at least one channel (14) running essentially along the outer envelope surface of the safety liner (3). The method comprises using the high-pressure press without liner replacement until a fracture has occurred on the thin safety liner.

Prestressing means are provided around an outer envelope surface of the pressure vessel cylinder for radially prestressing the pressure vessel cylinder. Each joint at adjacent edges of the cylinder segment or segments has a continuous extension along the longitudinal length of the pressure vessel cylinder.

摘要: In an aspect of at least one embodiment of the invention, there is provided a hot isostatic pressing arrangement for treatment of articles by hot isostatic pressing. The arrangement includes a pressure vessel including a furnace chamber including a heat insulated casing and a furnace for heating of a pressure medium during pressing, and a ‘heat exchanger unit’ or heat absorbing material located below the furnace chamber. In another aspect of at least one embodiment of the invention, there is provided a method for treatment of articles in a hot isostatic press. The press further includes a pressure vessel enclosing a furnace chamber and a ‘heat exchanger unit’. The method includes the steps of loading the articles into the furnace chamber, performing pressurized and heated treatment of the articles, cooling the articles and unloading of the articles. All the steps are performed while the ‘heat exchanger unit’ remains located inside the pressure vessel. Heat is transferred to and from the ‘heat exchanger unit’ at different portions of the hot isostatic pressing cycle.
