摘要: A system and circuit is provided for digitally synthesizing the impedance of a transfer function. The impedance of the transfer function is digitally synthesized by generating a current that, when combined with an input voltage, results in the impedance of the transfer function. This is accomplished by sensing the input signal and processing it with a generator or multiplier such that a voltage is produced. The produced voltage controls a current source and creates a current having a value equal to the inverse of the transfer function impedance. The sensed or input voltage divided by the generated current is equal to the impedance of the transfer function. In this manner, many different transfer functions can be digitally synthesized without having to design an alternate circuit.

摘要: The present invention provides a sensor, preferably an electrochemical sensor, for detecting acidic gases, e.g. carbon dioxide. The electrochemical sensor has a sensing electrode (20, 22), a counter electrode (37) and a body of electrolyte containing a complex, e.g. copper(II) bis(propanediamine), which has one or more ligands that is displaceable by the presence of the acidic gas in the electrolyte to form a modified complex which can be electrochemically reacted at the sensing electrode at a potential at which the unmodified complex is unreactive. The acidic gas diffuses into the electrolyte through a porous membrane. The modified complex can also be detected colorimetrically because it absorbs light at a different wavelength to the unmodified complex.

摘要: The present invention discloses circuits for isolating and attenuating signals generated by a telephone network. In disclosed embodiments, a metering pulse signal is isolated from the terminals of the connecting device, and then attenuated with an impedance that is synthesized with a programmable digital signal processor. Embodiments also utilize the digital signal processor to synthesize a termination impedance for the connecting device. The termination impedance matches closely the characteristic impedance of the network, so as to minimize wave reflections and the like.

摘要: A road sign mounting apparatus for displaying a road sign attached to a mounting bracket. The road sign mounting apparatus is adapted for being carried by a circular base having an open interior and a rim, and an upper profile and lower profile. The road sign mounting apparatus comprises a body and a plurality of legs carried by and extending outward from the body. Each of the plurality of legs is intended for being carried by the circular base. A road sign support is pivotally carried by the body and has a first position wherein the road sign support is carried beneath the upper profile of the circular base when carried by the circular base and a second position wherein the road sign support extends in a general vertical direction intersecting the plane defined by the upper profile of the circular base. The road sign support includes a locking mechanism for locking the road sign support in the second position. The road sign mounting apparatus may be carried by a tire having reflective surface.

摘要: The present invention provides an undercast liner for being applied to an anatomical shape of a patient and overlaid with a cast material. The undercast liner includes an elongate fabric having two opposing faces and an intermediate spacer area that both separates and interconnects the opposed faces. The liner is constructed at least in part of hydrophobic, water resistant monofilament yarn for providing enhanced water resistance, light weight, breathability and resistance to collapse and degradation due to moisture and bacteria during extended use of the liner. The liner has sufficient stretch in both a length-wise and width-wise direction to facilitate conforming the undercast liner around the anatomical shape without wrinkling during application.
