A hole transport region is arranged between the first electrode and the light emitting layer, and includes an amine compound represented by Formula 1. The light emitting element may exhibit high-efficiency and long-lifespan properties.

The functional layer includes a tertiary amine compound represented by Formula 1. The tertiary amine compound is configured so that the hole transport properties of the functional layer (e.g., hole transport layer) and the emission efficiency and lifetime of the light emitting element may be enhanced or improved.
