摘要： Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for display of a screen according to brightness intensity of ambient light. One or more characteristic values configuring display data is set to be higher than a preset color characteristic value when measured brightness intensity of ambient light is higher than preset brightness intensity of ambient light, and one of the set color characteristic values is converted to a contrast characteristic value and is displayed. Therefore, even when brightness intensity of ambient light is high, the user can accurately view a screen.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for correcting color in a portable image projector in consideration of an effect of a background color when the portable image projector projects images. The method corrects the effect of the background color to be projected, using color constancy technique, and thereby represents high-quality image which can be projected on a white screen. The method includes the steps of determining if a background color exists on a projection screen using a portable camera, converting the size of a mask image in order to connect a spatial position of an original image and an image photographed by a camera, correcting brightness of the mask image in order to correct non-homogeneity of the brightness of the projected image due to the distribution of different brightness values of the background color, and correcting the background color in order to correct color distortion of the image projected in different colors on the background color. The background color correction step includes the sub-steps of initializing chromaticity of the white screen in advance, and correcting chromaticity using a technique of color constancy of human eyesight.

摘要： A method and an apparatus are provided for adjusting white balance of a digital image. An input image is converted into a YCbCr color space. White pixels of the converted input image are detected by determining whether each pixel of the converted input image is included in a preset region of the YCbCr color space. A gain of each channel is calculated from averages of R, G and B values of the detected white pixels. White balance adjustment is performed by applying the calculated gain of each channel to each pixel of the input image.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus and method for analyzing a histogram of an image, the apparatus comprising an image input module for buffering an input image, a block calculator for performing a blocking operation for dividing the image, which has been input to the image input module, into pixel blocks of a predetermined size, and extracting and outputting a representative pixel of each block obtained by corresponding blocking, a probability density function (PDF) operator for calculating a first histogram by using all pixels of the image, which has been input to the image input module, and calculating a second histogram by using the representative pixels input from the block calculator, and an image characteristic comparator for receiving the first and second histograms output from the PDF operator, testing if the received histograms satisfy a predetermined identity criterion by comparing characteristics of the first histogram with characteristics of the second histogram, and calculating a third histogram of the input image when it has been determined that the predetermined identity criterion is satisfied.

摘要： A screen display apparatus and method of measuring an ambient brightness by adjusting color quality of an output screen in a mobile terminal according to the ambient brightness, so that the visibility of the screen can be ensured in various environments. The includes measuring an ambient brightness of the mobile terminal, and generating a visibility adjustment event when a measured ambient brightness value is equal to or greater than a preset specific external brightness value. The received RGB signal is converted into first tristimulus values, then to L, a, b color space valueslightness (L), chroma (C), and hue (H) values using a predetermined equation. The brightness of an entire region of the image is adjusted and output on the display screen of the mobile terminal, and the chroma of each pixel region is adjusted by using the L, C, and H values.
