Abstract: A connector assembly including a pair of connector housing in which the force of repulsion of a spring which is provided to prevent the incomplete engagement of the connector housings is eliminated when the connector housings are locked to each other. The connector assembly includes a male connector housing (B) including a movable striking member (C) and a female connector housing (A) with a flexible lock arm (10). When the flexible lock arm (10) is elastically displaced during the engagement of the locking protrusion (10b) of the male connector housing and the engaging portion (12) of the female connector housing, the disengaging protrusion (10c) of the flexible lock arm (10) disengages the engaging portion (7) of the movable striking member (C) from the receiver (11) of the male connector housing (B), whereupon the elastic force of the compression coil spring (5) is eliminated to cause the striking flange (6) of the movable striking member (C) to strike against the partition wall (2) of the female connector housing, so that an inertial force is applied to the female connector housing (B) to allow the latter to engage with the male connector housing.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a connector which comprises a female housing and a male housing to be inserted and fitted into the female housing for establishing an electrical connection therebetween. The connector further comprises locking member pivotably provided on one of the female and male housings in such a manner that one housing is locked with the other housing by the locking member only when the female and male housings are properly fitted together. Abstract: A partial-fitting prevention connector which can be positively fitted relative to a mating connector, and is prevented from being only partially fitted relative to the mating connector. When the partial-fitting prevention connector (1) is fitted relative to a mating connector (2), a retaining member (25), formed on a lock member (22), abuts against a retaining projection (34) formed on the mating connector (2), and the lock member (22) is pushed against the bias of a spring (23) in a rearward direction away from the mating connector. Abstract: Terminals for a low-cost connector apparatus, and the connector apparatus using the terminals, are provided. Each of the connection portions of the terminals for connecting wiring materials is formed by cutting an electrically conductive pipe material into a specific length and then crimping flat one end thereof. The uncrimped end retains its cylindrical shape, and is formed into a fit-engagement portion into which another terminal is inserted to make current conduction possible. The connector apparatus comprises a first base member having a main portion and a stepped portion, a side wall of the main portion being substantially perpendicular to a top surface of the stepped portion. A second base member, matable with the said first base member, is also provided. Burial holes are provided in the first base member near the stepped portion, and the inventive terminals are disposed therein. Opening portions are disposed in the side wall of the main portion near the burial holes, to allow the terminals to be inserted. Slits are disposed adjacent the burial holes between the burial holes and the opening portions. Stoppers are insertable into the slits. When inserted, the stoppers fix the terminals in the burial holes and close the opening portions.
