Abstract: A shielded connector is so designed that its inner housing can be used independently, and the core wires of a shielded cable can be directly connected to the inner housing which has been shielded. A female inner connector and a male inner connector, in which terminals are accommodated respectively, are so designed as to be used independently. A female outer housing which is electrically conductive and connected to the shielding braid of a shielded cable is detachably preset over the female inner connector. A male outer housing which is electrically conductive and is connected to the shielding braid of a shielded cable is detachably preset over the male inner connector so that the male outer housing is fixedly coupled to the female outer housing through electrically conductive fixing means with the former electrically connected to the latter.

Abstract: Terminals for a low-cost connector apparatus, and the connector apparatus using the terminals, are provided. Each of the connection portions of the terminals for connecting wiring materials is formed by cutting an electrically conductive pipe material into a specific length and then crimping flat one end thereof. The uncrimped end retains its cylindrical shape, and is formed into a fit-engagement portion into which another terminal is inserted to make current conduction possible. The connector apparatus comprises a first base member having a main portion and a stepped portion, a side wall of the main portion being substantially perpendicular to a top surface of the stepped portion. A second base member, matable with the said first base member, is also provided. Burial holes are provided in the first base member near the stepped portion, and the inventive terminals are disposed therein. Opening portions are disposed in the side wall of the main portion near the burial holes, to allow the terminals to be inserted. Slits are disposed adjacent the burial holes between the burial holes and the opening portions. Stoppers are insertable into the slits. When inserted, the stoppers fix the terminals in the burial holes and close the opening portions.

Abstract: The mating structure includes a bracket defined to be fitted to a base body. The bracket has a guide portion consisting of an inclined portion and a lock opening turned from the inclined portion. The structure further has a first connector pivotably attached to the bracket and a second connector provided on a fitting panel constructed to be attached to the base body. The second connector has an engagement piece associated with the guide portion of the bracket. Abstract: A shielded connector is provided which makes connection for shielding and sealing for waterproofing at the same time that the connector is directly mounted on a vehicle instrument such as a motor. A connector housing with a terminal fitting-accommodating hole formed therein is provided with a shielding metal shell, into which accommodating hole is fitted a terminal fitting attached to a shielded cable such that the shield of the shielded cable is connected with the metal shell via a connecting member fitted on the shield. The connector housing is further provided on its outer periphery with a flange for fixing the connector housing in a connector-mounting hole formed in the casing of the instrument and with a seal ring for sealing the mounting hole. The metal shell is extended to have a portion thereof exposed on the surface of the flange facing toward the casing.

Abstract: A coupling confirming mechanism for an electric connector having a first and second connector housings, capable of confirming the proper coupling of the first and second connector housings and double-locking the first and second connector housings.
