    摘要: A partial-fitting prevention connector which can be positively fitted relative to a mating connector, and is prevented from being only partially fitted relative to the mating connector. When the partial-fitting prevention connector (1) is fitted relative to a mating connector (2), a retaining member (25), formed on a lock member (22), abuts against a retaining projection (34) formed on the mating connector (2), and the lock member (22) is pushed against the bias of a spring (23) in a rearward direction away from the mating connector. After the lock member has moved a predetermined distance, lock release projections (26a and 26b), formed on the lock member (22), slide over lock release projections (42a and 42b) formed on a support structure (41), thereby pivotally moving the lock member (22). When the fitting operation is further continued, the lock member (22) is urged by the spring (23) in the forward direction toward the mating connector and engages the retaining projection (34) to thereby retain the connectors to each other.

    摘要: A pair of connector elements, one connector element having a locking arm, the other connector element having a hood for receiving the one connector element and a locking protrusion provided within the hood are locked in engagement by the locking arm and the locking protrusion when they are completely coupled with each other. When the connector elements are not used or before they are coupled with each other, a body for preventing the one connector element from being fit into the other connector element is inserted in the hood of the other connector element. The body has a locking arm to be engaged with the locking protrusion and a locking portion into which a dedicated jig for pulling out the body from the hood is to be inserted. Thus, in electric wiring (e.g., an air bag for motor vehicles), a connection of the connector elements is prevented with a false current is flowing through one of the connector elements, thus preventing error (e.g., an explosion in an inflator).

    摘要: A connector checking apparatus includes a connector checking device having a main body operable by a lever to move toward a connector. The connector checking device also has a connector support. Detection pins are slideably disposed within the main body and are connected to checking terminals. The detection pins have a conductive contact face and detection fingers on a detection piece. Upon insertion of the detection pins into the connector, complete insertion of the terminals within the terminal receiving cavities of the connector permits contact between the conductive face and an end of the terminal C. The connector has cantilever resilient supporting pieces which include a locking projection 14a. The device can detect whether or not the connector checking device A is completely engaged with the connector.

    摘要: An adapter has a cylindrical body which is screwed onto a battery post, and a flange portion formed on a top portion of the cylindrical body to be clamped by a screwing tool. A terminal body includes a substantially U-shaped adaptor fitting portion which accommodates the adapter therein, and a seat portion on which an electric wire terminal is fixed. A lever includes a cam portion and is supported on the terminal body so as to be pivotable between a first position and a second position. A space in which the flange portion is capable of passing through is secured inside of the adaptor fitting portion when the lever is in the first position. The cam portion is abutted against an outer periphery of the cylindrical body of the adaptor so that the adaptor is retained between the cam portion and an inner face of the adaptor fitting portion, when the lever is in the second position. The flange portion of the adaptor is engaged with a top end face of the adapter fitting portion of the terminal body.
