Abstract:
A cup holder for a vehicle includes a housing 1 fixed on the vehicle's side, a slide member 11 movably supported in the housing back and forth, and a holder body 21 provided with two holding hole 22 for holding cups and movably supported by the slide member 11 left and right. The holder body 21 has its rear part whose one side portion is cut away slantingly so that a width of the rear part is smaller than that of a front part of the holder body 21. The cup holder further includes a tensile coil spring 31 between the slide member 11 and the holder body 21, for urging the holder body 21 to one lateral direction of the slide member 11 by the spring 31. Owing to the provision of the spring 31, the handling of the holder body 21 can be completed under a little resistance, improving the manipulating feeling.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a liquid crystal display apparatus formed by sealing a liquid crystal between two substrates having electrodes and an alignment film with a seal material, the production process comprising the steps of attaching two substrates in a vacuum, compressing under atmospheric pressure to provide a uniform cell gap, a temporary hardening process of the seal material by ultraviolet ray irradiation and a main hardening process of the seal material by heating, wherein a radically polymerizable curing resin is used in the liquid crystal seal material. The method provides a liquid crystal display panel having a uniform cell gap, without dislocation of the alighnment between substrates, or discharge of uncured component of a seal material to the liquid crystal, capable of having a seal material firmly attached to the substrates even at panel corner portions, and having an excellent straightness and moisture resistance of the seal material.
Abstract:
In a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine, crank caps are bolted and a crankshaft is rotatably supported by the crank caps. The cylinder block includes bulkheads which divide an internal space of a crankcase into sub-sections for respective cylinders of the engine. Breathing holes are formed in each of the bulkheads and allow the sub-sections of the crankcase to communicate with each other via the breathing holes. Crank cap holes are formed in a bottom of each of the bulkheads. Bolts are fastened to the crank cap holes to fix the crank caps to the bulkheads. The crank cap holes are threaded holes which extend from the bottom of each of the bulkheads and are open to the breathing holes.
Abstract:
An additive for a carbonaceous solid-water slurry which excels preeminently in the ability to disperse a finely powdered carbonaceous solid in water and, when used only in a small amount, permits production of a carbonaceous solid-water slurry which possesses high concentration, exhibits high fluidity, and precludes change of viscosity due to aging, a method for the production of the additive, and a slurry composition are provided. The additive to be used for high concentration of carbonaceous solid-water slurry comprises a specific water-soluble copolymer and contains a low molecular copolymer (a) having a weight weight-average molecular weight in a range or from 1000 to 39000 and specific ratios of adsorption relative to a carbonaceous solid and a clayish mineral and a high molecular copolymer (b) having a weight weight-average molecular weight of not less than 40000 and specific ratios of adsorption relative to a carbonaceous solid and a clayish mineral at a weight ratio, (a)/(b), in the range of from 10/90 to 99/1, the met hod is for the production of the additive, and the slurry composition is produced by the incorporation of the additive.
Abstract:
A male terminal is provided so that engagement protrusions formed on an inner housing engage with notches formed in a flange portion of the male terminal to thereby prevent the male terminal from rotating relative to a shielded cable around its axial line, and a metal shield is provided so that portions of the metal shield are fitted and locked into metal shield insertion holes formed among connection portions between an outer housing and the inner housing to thereby prevent the metal shield from rotating relative to the shielded cable around its axial line.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus comprising image reading means for reading image data, a body with control means for subjecting read image data to information processing together with document data, and receiving means for receiving the image reading means, the receiving means being detachably data mounted in the body, wherein which is configured to allow a document, which is to be read by the image reading means, to travel across a surface that includes the reading position of the image reading means, while the image reading means is mounted in the body by being housed in the receiving means.
Abstract:
A connector shield wire connection structure includes a connector housing including a shield wire accommodating portion, a conductive contact element including an inclined slide portion and a hold portion corresponding to a terminal shield portion of a shield wire, the conductive contact elements being connectable to the shield portion of a connector.
Abstract:
A lid operating mechanism for opening and closing a lid body from left and right sides of a box body includes left and right side hinge pins provided along left and right side edges of the lid body for movement between a projecting position and a retract position; left and right side operation buttons provided within the lid body for sliding; and left and right side cable means for directly connecting the left and right side hinge pins and the left and right side operating buttons, respectively, and having a first section extending in the widthwise direction and a second section extending in a lengthwise direction of the lid body so that when the left or right side operating button is depressed into the opening position, the left or right side cable means pulls the left or right side hinge pins into the retracted position to thereby allow opening of the lid body about the right or left side hinge pins.
Abstract:
An electrical socket contact forms an electrical contact portion in a compact size to which a mating contact is inserted and connected. A concave portion is formed opposite to a resilient tongue in the transverse direction of a side end of the short rectangularly tubular electrical contact portion provided the resilient tongue for electrical contact within the electrical contact portion. A folded portion extending from a side free end of the electrical contact portion is also provided which engages the concave portion.
Abstract:
A membrane containing an immobilized enzyme for a semiconductor sensor is prepared containing a water soluble photosensitive resin including a high molecular weight polyvinyl pyrrolidone crosslinked to 2, 5-bis (4'-azide-2'-sulfobenzal) cyclopentanone sodium salt, and an enzyme. Glutaraldehyde and bovine serum albumin, polyamino acid or polyamino amino acid copolymer may also be present to provide chemical crosslinking. The enzyme may be glucose oxidase, urease or lipase. The membrane can be directly formed on ion-sensitive protions of a pH-ion sensitive field effect transistor to form a semiconductor sensor by coating an aqueous solution of the resin and enzyme on the ion-sensitive portion, drying and irradiating with light such as ultraviolet light to provide photo crosslinking.
