    摘要: A video signal processing circuit of motion adaptive type includes a circuit for identifying motion of a picture in a video signal on the basis of a difference signal between at least a line signal appearing in an M-th field and a corresponding line signal appearing in an (M-1)th field so that, when a scanning line produced on the basis of the video signal is interpolated between scanning lines of the video signal to improve the picture quality, a signal for interpolating said scanning line is produced in a different manner depending on whether a portion of the video signal to the displayed is a still picture or a moving picture. The motion identifying circuit comprises a horizontal filter spreading the difference signal in the horizontal direction, a circuit delaying the output signal of the horizontal filter by one field after attenuation, a line memory delaying the output signal of the attenuating and delaying circuit by one line, and an output circuit generating a signal identifying the motion of the picture on the basis of the output signals of the horizontal filter, attenuating and delaying circuit and line memory.

    摘要: A circuit for separating a luminance signal and a chrominance signal having the first, second, third, and fourth 1H delay lines each connected in series, a first comb filter including the first and second 1H delay lines, a second comb filter including the second and third 1H delay lines, a third comb filter including the third and fourth 1H delay lines, a first subtraction circuit for achieving a subtraction on an input signal to the first 1H delay line and an output signal from the second 1H delay line, a second subtraction circuit for achieving a subtraction on an input signal to the second 1H delay line and an output signal from the third 1H delay line, a third subtraction circuit for achieving a subtraction on an input signal to the third 1H delay line and an output signal from the fourth 1H delay line, and a minimum value detecting circuit connected to the first, second, and third subtraction circuits for detecting the minimum value from the subtraction results. This circuit selects by use of a switch an output signal from the comb filter for which the minimum subtraction result is detected by the minimum value detecting circuit and then outputs the selected signal. This circuit can appropriately separate the luminance and chrominance signals even in a case where the video signal includes a contour section.

A plurality of the time-constant circuits are combined to construct a filter circuit. The gain of the variable gain differential amplifier in each time-constant circuit is controlled by a common DC voltage, whereby the spread of characteristic values of the integrated circuit elements can be compensated.

    摘要: An automatic ghost-suppression system having an adder, a variable delay device, and a polarity and gain control device. The variable delay device is connected with the adder through the polarity and gain control device. A video signal is simultaneously applied to both the adder and the variable delay device, and added in the adder to the video signal which is delayed by the variable delay device and then preferably adjusted in its polarity and amplitude by the polarity and gain control device. On the other hand, a synchronizing signal is separated from the delayed video signal and used for generation of a gate signal for detecting a residual ghost during a vertical blanking period. From the video signal produced at the output of the adder, the residual ghost contained in the vertical blanking period is detected by the gate signal and used as a control signal for controlling the polarity and gain control device thereby to automatically suppress the ghost.
