The wireless communication apparatus includes a preamble generating unit configured to generate a preamble signal including header information, an inter-training generating unit configured to generate an inter-training signal including at least part of information of the header information, and a wireless transmission processing unit configured to transmit transmission data after transmitting the preamble signal in at least one or more frequency channels among a plurality of the frequency channels and transmit a plurality of the inter-training signals by utilizing one or a plurality of the frequency channels among the plurality of the frequency channels during a transmission period of the transmission data. The present technology can be applied to a wireless communication apparatus.

A communication apparatus is provided, and the communication apparatus includes a control unit that performs control to: generate channel information relating to transmittable frequency channels of data, and bandwidth information relating to a bandwidth of a frequency to be used to transmit the data; transmit a request signal to another communication apparatus, by using a frequency channel that has been selected from the transmittable frequency channels, the request signal including the channel information and the bandwidth information that have been generated; and transmit the data to the other communication apparatus, by using frequency channels that have been selected as receivable frequency channels by the other communication apparatus. The present technology can be applied, for example, to a wireless LAN system.

To provide a communication apparatus which controls channel access operation under a multi user environment, and a communication method. Channel access operation of each STA after an MU mode is finished is controlled through a trigger frame from an AP to prevent collision immediately after the MU mode is finished. Further, the AP sets a smaller CW upon transmission of the trigger frame than a CW of an STA to preferentially transmit the trigger frame and give priority to communication in the MU mode over communication in an SU mode. Further, by the CW of each STA upon switching of the mode being not reset, a transmission waiting period after the MU mode is finished is shortened.

There is provided a wireless device configured to perform both multi-user spatial multiplex communication and single user communication with a communication device. The wireless device is configured to set a first waiting time for the single user communication, and count the first waiting time in a period in which a second waiting time for the multi-user spatial multiplex communication is counted. The wireless device then transmits data through the single user communication after the first waiting time expires.

The management unit included in the information processing apparatus manages a transmission suppression time period set in a network including the information processing apparatus. Along with the management, the management unit also manages a transmission suppression time period set in each of other networks, the other networks not including the information processing apparatus and transmitting radio waves reaching at least the information processing apparatus, the management unit managing the transmission suppression time period for each of the other networks.

An information processing apparatus includes a control unit. The control unit controls transmission of an inducement frame for causing another communication device to transmit a transmission suppression period reduction frame for reducing a transmission suppression period. In addition, the control unit controls transmission of the transmission suppression period reduction frame on the basis of the inducement frame in a case where the control unit receives the inducement frame. Transmission suppression periods set in other information processing apparatuses are equally reduced to eliminate inequality in using wireless resources.
