摘要: A system and method may be used to calculate insulin on board (IOB) for an extended bolus being delivered by an insulin infusion pump. In general, the system and method calculates an extended bolus IOB value for the extended bolus, which takes into account the insulin currently on board from the extended bolus and the insulin scheduled to be delivered by the extended bolus over a subsequent time period equivalent to a duration of insulin action. The extended bolus IOB value may be used to calculate a suggested bolus.

摘要: A method for managing from a remote terminal a virtual machine, which represents one of a plurality of virtual machines implemented on a hardware platform that is communicably coupled to the remote terminal via a computer network, is provided. Each virtual machine is associated with a MAC address of a plurality of MAC addresses associated with the hardware platform. The method includes receiving, using a network interface card (NIC) associated with the hardware platform, from the remote terminal a management packet, which represents a data packet having at least a first MAC address and an action (e.g., wake up or shut-down) for the virtual machine. The management packet is forwarded to a NIC manager, which ascertains whether the first MAC address matches one of the plurality of MAC addresses associated with the hardware platform. If a match is identified, the action for the virtual machine is performed.

摘要: The present invention relates to compositions for intradermal delivery of an antigenic or immunogenic agent in combination with one or more adjuvants. The immunogenic compositions of the invention comprise an antigenic or immunogenic agent and at least one adjuvant, which enhances the immune response to the antigenic or immunogenic agent, once delivered to the intradermal compartment of a subject's skin. The immunogenic compositions of the invention have enhanced efficacy as the adjuvants of the composition promote recruitment of antigen presenting cells to the intradermal compartment and thus enhance presentation and/or availability of the antigenic or immunogenic agent to the antigen presenting cells. The enhanced efficacy of the immunogenic compositions of the invention results in a therapeutically and/or prophylactically effective immune response after a single intradermal dose, with lower doses of adjuvant than conventionally used, achieving therapeutic efficacy from a single administration.

摘要: The present invention is a filtered seawater collection system for installation at seaside locations. This system filters undesirable elements from seawater including garbage, debris, volatile organics and biologics such as toxic algaes. The resulting filtered seawater is then pumped to a desalination plant for de-salting. This system comprises a subterranean reservoir installed at a sheltered location, such as behind a set of dunes. A borehole is created by directional drilling, the borehole breaking through the surf line and into open ocean. A pipe is laid extending from the reservoir out to the open ocean. The pipe ends in an intake, which is overlapped by gravel packets which act as filtration media. The intake receives water filtered through the gravel packets, which is transported through the pipe to the reservoir.

摘要: An internal combustion rotary engine includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet and a rotatable rotor centrally mounted within the housing. The rotor includes a plurality of pockets located about its circumference, the rotor further being connected to a rotor shaft. A rotatable elliptical body is disposed in each of the plurality of pockets. Each rotatable elliptical body is coupled to respective planet gears and each respective planet gear is meshed with a centrally disposed fixed sun gear. An ignition source is disposed in each of the plurality of pockets for igniting a fuel/air mixture. During operation of the internal combustion rotary engine, for each 360° rotation of the rotor, each elliptical body rotates through 720°.
