    摘要: A power distribution module can be installed in and connected to a power unit for providing power to a power-consuming DAS component(s), such as a remote unit(s) (RU(s)) as a non-limiting example. The RU may include an antenna, and may sometimes be referred to as a remote antenna unit or RAU. Power from the power distribution module is distributed to any power-consuming DAS components connected to the power distribution modules including but not limited to remote units. The power distribution modules distribute power to the power-consuming DAS components to provide power for power-consuming components in the power-consuming DAS components. In a first configuration, the power distribution module uses two power links to provide power to a single RU. In a second configuration, the power distribution module uses two power links to provide power to two RUs.

In one embodiment, an elongated member is provided that facilitates providing sealing and/or strain relief of a portion of multiple fiber optic cables not enclosed within a common outer cable jacket or sheath when disposed through the opening of the fiber optic terminal. In one embodiment, the elongated member includes a sealing portion configured to facilitate sealing of a fiber optic terminal opening when the multiple fiber optic cables are received in the sealing portion and the elongated member is disposed through the opening of the fiber optic terminal. In another embodiment, the elongated member includes a strain relief portion on a second end configured to receive and provide strain relief to the multiple fiber optic cables disposed inside the fiber optic terminal, when the elongated member is disposed through the fiber optic terminal opening.

    摘要: A strain relief device for a fiber optic cable is disclosed. The strain relief device has a cable fitting having a cable fitting body, a shoulder washer and a compression cap. The cable fitting is positioned on the fiber optic cable. The shoulder washer is installed on a central tube of the fiber optic cable, under strength members of the fiber optic cable and fitted in the cable fitting body. The compression cap is installed over the central tube with the strength members inserted through the compression cap. The strength members are compressed between the shoulder washer and the compression cap.     摘要: There is provided grommet and plate assemblies for sealing fiber optic closures into which and/or out of which fiber optic cables are routed. The grommet of the assembly includes a central portion with an axial opening adapted to receive the fiber optic cable through a slit in the central portion. The grommet also includes an end cap portion on an axial end of the grommet, and the end cap portion includes a deformable outer lip that overhangs an outer surface of the central portion to provide axial retention of the grommet once it is inserted into an opening of the plate. The plate includes a plurality of openings into which grommets may be selectively inserted. The plate may be received within an opening of the fiber optic closure and includes a slot for receiving a protrusion within the opening of the fiber optic closure.

    摘要: There is provided fiber drop terminal (“FDT”) assemblies for providing selective connections between optical fibers of distribution cables and optical fibers of drop cables, such as in multiple dwelling units. The FDT assemblies include a mounting plate that enables the FDT to be conveniently and securely mounted to a generally vertical surface, such as a wall. The mounting plate is structured such that the base of the FDT must be removed before the mounting plate can be removed, and the cover of the FDT is structured that neither the base nor the mounting plate can be removed without first removing the cover. The cover may be selectively locked to the base and/or mounting plate with a locking fastener; therefore, only technicians able to remove the locking fastener may remove the cover, base, and/or mounting plate of the FDT assembly.
