Abstract:
A composite printing device comprises a portable printer and a tape printer case removably engageable with the portable printer from below. The portable printer includes a bottom printing head, a pair of drive wheels and a pair of idle wheels. The tape printer case accommodates a tape roll for supplying a tape, a platen for guiding the tape, and a feed roller for feeding the tape from the tape roll. When the tape printer case is engaged with the portable printer, the printing head faces the tape guided by the platen while the drive wheel is operatively connected to the feed roller for rotationally driving the feed roller.
Abstract:
A video source selecting system for a television receiver has a built-in video tape recorder (video deck) for sequentially selecting for display, a plurality of video signals on various channels, such video signals including at least a video signal from the built-in video deck, and a video signal from at least one external video input terminal. A selected video signal is supplied to a monitor television receiver. When the built-in video tape recorder is placed in its playback mode, the plurality of video signals are switched selected sequentially, while when the built-in video tape recorder is not placed in its playback mode, it is skipped by the switch, whereby the order in which the video signals are switched is in response to the operational state of the built-in video tape recorder.
Abstract:
A television receiver having a CPU (central processing unit), a ROM (read only memory) in which a program and a font data are written, and a RAM (random access memory) for work area and a shift register. The font data to be indicated as a channel numeral is loaded to the shift register by an interrupt procedure and the output from the shift register is supplied to the video signal system whereby to indicate the channel numeral after the channel is changed.
Abstract:
Remote control apparatus is provided for generating and transmitting remote control signals for controlling the operations of one or more devices. For example, the remote control apparatus may be used to control video playback and display devices, whereby previously recorded video signals may be played back and displayed. The apparatus includes a plurality of selector switches, each being selectively operable to initiate the transmission of a respective command signal for commanding a corresponding operation in the controlled devices. An encoder is coupled to the selector switches and is responsive to the operation of a respective one thereof to generate an encoded command signal. This command signal is transmitted to the controlled devices, wherein it is received and utilized to implement the commanded operation. A selectively operable control switch also is provided. A control circuit is coupled to the encoder and is responsive to the operation of the control switch to simulate successive operations of the plural selector switches, whereby the encoder responds to the operation of the control switch to generate successive encoded command signals.
Abstract:
A programming apparatus is provided for use with a signal receiver, such as a television or FM broadcast receiver, of the type whose tuning frequency is determined by a tuning control voltage or other tuning control signal, and whose power supply can be switched between an OFF and an ON condition in response to a power control signal. In the programming apparatus, a tuner control circuit generates a tuning control signal representing a predetermined channel or frequency when the power supply is switched to the ON condition; a timer generates a current time code representing the current time; a coincidence detector circuit compares the current time code with a program time code which is selectively entered and stored in a program time memory and provides a coincidence signal when these two codes are the same; a circuit applies the power control signal to the power supply to switch it to its ON condition upon occurrence of the coincidence signal; a program channel code corresponding to a desired channel or frequency is selectively entered and stored in a program channel memory; a discriminator provides a discriminating signal to indicate the stored presence of the program channel code in the program channel memory; and another circuit supplies the program channel code from the program channel memory to the tuner control circuit upon the occurrence of both the coincidence signal and the discriminating signal so that the tuner is tuned to the desired frequency at the desired program time.
Abstract:
A card printer includes a card supply mechanism (20) for forwardly feeding cards one after another from a stack thereof held by a card stocker (21), a card carrier table (20) having an upper surface for supporting each of the cards fed from the card supply mechanism (20). The card carrier table is reciprocatively movable forwardly and rearwardly. The card printer further includes a printhead (90') located above the card carrier table (60). The printhead selectively assumes a position contacting each card on the card carrier table (60) via an ink ribbon (R) and a position upwardly spaced from the card. The card printer further includes a card discharge mechanism (120) for picking up a printed card from the card carrier table (60) moved to a forward position and for discharging the printed card. The card supply mechanism (20) includes an initial feed roller (31) for forwardly feeding the cards one after another from the card stocker (21) accommodating the stacked cards, and a plurality of intermediate feed rollers (36, 37) arranged ahead of the initial feed roller (31) to face a card transfer path from above and below. Part or all of the intermediate feed rollers (36, 37) are movable transversely of the card transfer path and urged toward the card transfer path.
Abstract:
A nozzle arrangement structure in an ink jet print head. A plurality of pressure chambers are arranged in circular form, and a plurality of nozzles receive an ink supply from the corresponding pressure chambers and are arranged in an zig zag arrangement to obtain a small interval between the dots. Two straight lines concerning the zig zag arrangement are inclined against a printing direction and a direction perpendicular to the printing direction. When an ink discharge from the nozzles is controlled, preprocessing of serial data is carried out by hardware.
Abstract:
A television receiver for receiving a television broadcast signal and tuning in a desired channel to receive a television signal on which a broadcast program of a predetermined genre is broadcast, and that performs the steps of entering a first genre code of a desired program, extracting a second genre code included in the television broadcast signal, making a comparison between the first genre code and the second genre code for all receivable channels, and, if a program corresponding to the first genre code is being broadcast in a plurality of channels, tuning in a channel having a past record of highest frequency of reception.

Abstract:
An inkjet print head and inkjet printer can stabilize the characteristic of ink discharge and improve the quality of printing by providing a vibrating plate, a part of which is vibrated by deforming a piezoelectric element corresponding to a pressure chamber without transmission of the vibration to any other vibrating plate part corresponding to another pressure chamber. The inkjet print head and inkjet printer can prevent any floating in the grounding electrode. In the inkjet print head and inkjet printer, furthermore, the characteristic of ink droplet discharge can be stabilized by reducing and equalizing the distance between the grounding electrode and each of the piezoelectric element electrode. A head unit is mounted on a base which includes a support for supporting the parts of the vibrating plate corresponding to the respective nozzles. A flexible cable having electrode portions connected to the piezoelectric elements has a grounding electrode located at a position corresponding to a circular area which is defined by the pressure chambers and piezoelectric elements.
