摘要: Methods for operating an adsorption separation zone are described. A trim bed is used with two adsorption beds in a swing bed arrangement. The trim bed will catch small amounts of treated feed remaining in the adsorption bed during the switch over from the spent adsorption bed to the fresh adsorption bed. In addition, any adsorbed material that desorbs from the spent adsorption bed during the displacement step of regeneration would be adsorbed onto the trim bed.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses are provided for producing hydrocarbons. A method for producing hydrocarbons may include two or more reactors having a distributed aromatic rich feed and hydrogen system. Using this configuration, the aromatic rich feed and hydrogen streams are split equally to all reactors wherein each reactor contains a catalyst. The outlet from the last reactor may include a recycle that may be injected into the inlet of the first reactor.

摘要: A method for producing jet-range hydrocarbons includes passing a renewable olefin feedstock comprising C3 to C8 olefins to an oligomerization reactor containing a zeolite catalyst to produce an oligomerized effluent, separating the oligomerized effluent into at least a C7− hydrocarbon stream, a heavy olefin stream, and a jet range olefin stream. At least a portion of the heavy olefin stream is recycled to the oligomerization reactor to dilute the renewable C4 olefin feedstock. The jet range olefin stream may be hydrotreated and separated to provide a jet range hydrocarbon product.

摘要: A process and apparatus for heating catalyst is presented. Cooler catalyst is removed from a reactor and heated with a hot gas in a riser, heated in a heating tube or heated in a heating chamber. Heated catalyst is disengaged from the hot gas if necessary and returned to the reactor. The process and apparatus can be used for producing light olefins. The hot gas may be a flue gas from an FCC regenerator or a combustion gas from a heater.

The process and apparatus includes conversion of a paraffin stream to an olefinic stream. The olefinic stream is passed through a reactor zone to convert the olefins to heavier hydrocarbons, including branched paraffins and branched olefins. The process includes recycling a portion of the product to the reactors for controlling the heat and reaction rate of the dimerization or oligomerization process.

摘要: A process and system for monitoring and controlling the operation of a dehydrogenation reactor is provided. Samples of hydrocarbon streams are taken at sampling locations to be analyzed at a single gas chromatograph or other analytical equipment. Actions can be taken to modify the operation of the dehydrogenation reactor as necessary to maintain its operation within predetermined parameters. In particular, actions may be taken when a hydrocarbon stream exhibits an amount of cracking that is outside parameters. It is usually intended that actions will be taken on a gradual basis once or twice per day to reduce the cost of the process while still providing the necessary changes to operations.

摘要: Improved processes for production of gasoline with 95 RONC including a C5-C6 isomerization zone, two C7 isomerization zones, and a reforming zone are described. The first and second C7 isomerization zones share a common stabilizer which strips off the chlorides and removes the light ends. The capital and operating costs of the processes are reduced through the elimination of one of the stabilizer columns and the associated condenser, receiver, trim cooler, and reboiler. The processes improve the RONC of the C7 isomerization product because unconverted methylcyclohexane is recycled back to the second C7 isomerization zone to be converted into dimethylcyclopentane.

摘要: An alkylation process including an upfront isomerization zone is described. 100% n-butane or field butanes can be converted into a blend of approximately 60 wt % isobutane and 40 wt % n-butane in the isomerization zone. This blend can be used as the feed to all types of alkylation zones. It stabilizes the feed composition so that the dehydrogenation zone and alkylation zone always operate with the same feed.
